“ the low-paying job she had as a server on campus at the University of Richmond just wasn’t cutting it, she said. She started dancing during her freshman year.”
Dancing her freshman year, in Virginia. How likely is it that she gave JS69 a lapdance considering her age? Think she auditioned to be a DS?
Every other sentence in this article they label this young woman as a “sex worker.” I find that odd, it’s not like she was forced to become a stripper and I doubt she was blowing 5 guys a night during her shift.
^ “sex worker” is a pretty normalized term at this point. (At least among ourselves) For one thing, many like the term because they may do more than one thing within it (like online stuff or sugaring), and also it’s acknowledged that being too divided makes it easier for lawmakers to go after and eliminate it all. (Strip club shutdowns, FOSTA SESTA, etc) And in the eyes of society, it doesn’t matter if you only airdance while wearing pasties, or only sell pictures of feet. You are looked down on as well so might as well bad together with the full service sex workers.
But anyways, first Sandra Salas and now Alexandra Hunt…I want to go dance somewhere in Pennsylvania at some point. 😁 it’s pretty cool that state has produced two openly stripper candidates now.
Her story is she supposedly had to strip to earn money to pay for tuition. Alternatively to stripping she could have instead attended a college with a more affordable tuition perhaps starting with community college. For comparison UVA seems quite a bit cheaper. If she had chosen a more affordable college and stripped then she would have a degree and a large (or larger) savings.
So she's not good at managing her own money and now wants to be in congress where she can have a say in how the government spends money.
^ She has both a masters' degree in science and public health. I assume she knew she was going to grad school at some point; where that happens matters, and in turn in matters to grad schools where one goes to undergrad. Please don't assail her educational choices. As someone who also danced through both college and grad school, having someone tell me I should have gone to community college instead just shows a lack of understanding of academia. Moreover- it's more productive to critique the cost higher education than to critique how a young woman balances working and studying, no?
I don't think where you go for your first 2 years of college matters. At least it didn't affect anyone I knew. If you can ace your upper level courses at a major university just as well as you did your lower level courses at CC.

The main hold out is a place like stripperweb, but even that is changing

I wasn’t sure about this candidate until I saw her in a sweater bra less on TikTok. She has some sweet sweater sisters hiding under her clothing!
Once a bigot, always a bigot 😊

Sex worker is an all encompassing term to define anyone who has a job involving just that. Sex phone operators, escorts, OF people, porn, etc.
Bad joke: she's going to work those polls well.
