    I took the vaccine coz it's better than nothing. But uts political. It's to make us complacent with hasty reopenings To create a false sense of consumer confidence. And of course more people are dying were in a pandemic.

    Some of the data which is gotten from UK and Israel, correlates the vaccine with a higher death rate. That can be seen because the data is being obtained unredacted, which the US data has never been.

    But in general, most of the population has already been exposed to the earlier strains, and that type of natural immunity is better than vaccine immunity. With the delta variant, people are getting immunized by exposure far faster than you could ever vaccinate them.

    And always, how long any of us will live is far more dependent on chronic conditions and on how well we are managing them, than on anything like COVID.

    Going to Universal Heath Care would reduce the death rate and give us greater life expectancy, far more so than all of these COVID precautions and the vaccine combined.

    The mainstream news sites and government officials have done a poor job on providing accurate information on this disease to the public. A recent Gallup poll found that a third of people polled thought that fifty percent of people who get Covid end up being hospitalized. The actual figure is one tenth of that. Generally speaking, most people think the disease is worse than it really is and the promoted alternative, expensive drugs and vaccines, are more safe and effective than they really are.

    There are a couple reasons for this. People consume more media when there is a crisis so when there isn't a crisis the media has an incentive to manufacture one. One study found that there were five times as many media stories when Covid hospitalization and deaths were increasing than when hospitalization and deaths were decreasing. In the case of politicians, you need to look at the underlying motivation for their career choice. Many of the people going into politics are power hungry individuals. When there is a crisis, the public goes into a mass panic and are more willing to give the government emergency powers than they would normally. The politicians enjoy wielding these new powers. Beside power, politicians are also motivated by money. Many politicians are receiving big campaign donations from Big Pharma so that gives them another reason to promote the current narrative that the disease is extremely dangerous, vaccines and expensive currently patented drugs are the cure, and nutritional supplements and cheap drugs no longer under patent are totally useless.

    The main determinant of our health and life expectancy is how we manage chronic conditions. COVID is a very small factor, and we are not going to eradicate it. Universal Health Care would make for a much larger improvement than all the COVID precautions and the vaccine do together. This is the reason the Democratic Party leadership promotes COVID hysteria, because they know that talk about Universal Health Care would cost them electorally.
