It’s over, at least for the military. The last US soldier is out. About 120,000 people were evacuated. Mostly Afghan. There wasn’t time to figure out who these Afghans were.The State Department says there are 250 Americans left who still want out. Also, thousands of Afghans who were promised we would get them out are still there.
Now, we wait to see how the Taliban rules and how they treat their former enemies. However, many executions have already been reported.
I think soon there will come to enough information on the table to see if Biden should have done better and can be faulted. We are right now at this juncture where it will start to come out.
