Marriage is just like Russian Roulette

No, you were just too stupid to read the sig a before you got married. Marriage wasn’t the problem. You’re inability to read people’s homes take you for a sucker was you’re problem. The next time you get a mail order bride, try someone from Russia. They’re more grateful than other mail order brides.

My ex, she was really very different from how she presented herself, completely outer directed and always very impressionable. Always influenced by what other people were doing, and especially by what they were buying. Always approval seeking and always parent pleasing.

Eventually I saw that what was always missing was partnership. But she never allowed this to happen. They only way she could understand is being bounded by duty and obligation.

I did accept monogamy, and there were long stretches of time in which I did live it in letter and spirit. But it made no difference, partnership was not possible.

She was a retrograde person, though I don't think she has ever been able to see this.

One time she did email about being dumped that she got what she deserved. But for the most part, she still seems to have never understood.

And no commitment to a cultivated deliberate eroticism. Rather, it is always just a means to an end, kind of like a nation to nation negotiation on nuclear arms limits.

Some say that Feminism and the Sexual Revolution are a problem. I don't think so. I think it was a lack of such which was the problem.
