O wad some Pow'r the giftie gie us. To see oursels as ithers see us!
Robert Burns (January 25, 1759 – July 21, 1796) was a poet from Scotland.
“To a Louse”
Oh, would some Power give us the gift
To see ourselves as others see us!
It would from many a blunder free us,
And foolish notion:
What airs in dress and gait would leave us,
And even devotion!

When one of my students tells me at the end of the semester, or years later, that they remember hearing that I am the best math professor...
And that is why they took my class, and that now how they believe it to the truth.
Or a former student or colleague or any person would said that I made a real difference in his or her life.
Or in my existence outside of the classroom someone will tell me how helpful I was to them,.
Or how thankful they are about learning something new from me.
Or how I corrected their understanding about something, when I even didn’t realized it.
Learning about how other see us it is nice sometimes...
Thank you for make me think about it.
