Inflation

Cover price for daytime at Concepts in Lawrenceburg Indiana went from $3 last month to $5 last week to $15 on 12/4.
$25 after 8:00 pm.
With Kentucky closed they are the only game in town.
LD's and VIP prices are still the same, but will probably rise also,

If people are paying the higher prices and the service is worth it, the places are businesses and they're doing what they've got to do. At least where I'm at the clubs are open again but most have been struggling to get the business back.

Contact your State Attorney General. That's price-gauging.

They are probably trying to prevent overcrowding inside. If I remember correctly, it isn't very spacious inside. Charging $15 or $25 cover will keep out the guys who come in and loiter for hours only drinking one or two beers. I do not know about Indiana, but most states are limiting capacity to 25% in restaurants, churches, hair salons, bowling alleys, etc.

Sinclair probably nailed the reason. This is a small club and with the Northern Kentucky clubs closed their only competition within 50 miles are Cheeks and Diamond's in Dayton. If they want to maximize their monopoly in the area right now their best bet is to ensure that they make sure to fill the capacity with people that have money to spend instead of guys that are just there to nurse a beer while watching the stage.

Add in desertscrub's point about them having the only supply to satisfy the Cincinnati tri-state area's demand and it is a seller's market when it comes to price.

Hopefully Kentucky clubs can reopen next weekend after the "3 week" shut down order ends. But with Kentucky's numbers up and the governor's reactions lately I doubt they will be open until sometime next year.
