The review approval process is anonymous and the same rules apply to everyone. I haven't seen any bitching on the board about members being too anal about the "guidelines" like there was about a year ago, so I assume the process is currently working. The only way I can think that "white racist hicks" could discriminate against you is if you write your reviews using the same Ebonics you use for your posts. Try tricking them by using proper English.

Reviews were always somewhat screened, but because it was a small number of people doing it there were long delays between something being submitted and posted. Community vetting was set up for reviews, then articles to speed things along. The number of votes required was increased so reviews would get more looks before going live. If everyone was posting useful information, then sure everything goes live. But for the people who actually screen reviews, they see there's a lot of garbage that gets submitted. Plus dudes complaining about there being the lowest of bars to clear to get a review posted, deciding to tell the world that "Sadie" kicked their balls in VIP for $5 and how, etc etc.
