That’s gonna hurt stage names worse than Katrina!

The BIG question is what changes is it going to make to rap/hip hop?

It will have a bigger impact on the paper water cup market.

Probably not as many as had to change their name from Isis when it went mainstream.
Besides any girl going by Dixie is probably targeting the type of "good ol' boys" that won't see it as an issue.

Yeah long time companies are rushing to change their product names and packaging in their attempts to show they aren't racist: Cream of Wheat, Aunt Jemima, Uncle Ben's, etc.
It's funny and sad at the same time.

They could just shorten their name to Dix, but I can imagine why that would be counterproductive.

For a minute I confused Stalin and Lenin so I'll compromise and go with Marx.

Then again Chairman Mao's rice should get approval but it has to be red.

I was surprised to read the news about the Dixie Chicks - as I didn’t think they were still together. Maybe changing their name is an attempt to seem relevant?

Should have changed it to "Dicks in Chicks"

Well - "Chicks" is a kinda a derogatory/sexist term, so "Chicks" also has to go.
