  I’ve never been a “Cam Girl” nor do I have much knowledge on why it’s about...but I think it’s because you can interact with them. You could request them to do certain things, etc. I think it’s more personal.

  I don't get either of them. Cam sites are constantly ripped, even private shows. It might be someone else's private show, so not as personally tailored to you, but still free. As for Onlyfans, that's the biggest joke i've ever seen. That doesn't even have the interaction of cams, but most Onlyfans sites i have seen have something like 2-4 videos and and a handful of pictures for usually $20 a month. Bwa, ha ha ha. Talk about the laziest way to be a low key porn star. Even the "free" sections of all "paid" porn sites have way more than that and that's not even counting Pornhub, XVideos, Xhamster, and all the other free ones.

  For all the threads we see with the topic as this question, I have yet to see a person who majorly supports camming or at least gives a number of good reasons why. The most I've seen from anyone trying to explain why support it is 'interactivity' and that's it. If that's the only perk then sorry, still not worth it IMO. Yet cam sites still thrive so there's apparently a bunch of folks who could speak to their personal reasons of why it appeals to them. Unfortunately it seems that none of those guys are members of this site. Maybe we'd be better off finding the answer to this question on reddit or something.

  When Clubs were open I was a 95% clubber 3% AMP, 1% cam kinda guy. Pros for cam are below 1. Convenience 2. You can actually "Talk" more to the girl without worrying about her having to move on to another customer. There was a girl I new from clubbing who stopped and went to dancing. I went from having 5 minute convos at bar to shooting the shit with her for an hour. 3. Cheaper 4. If you live in a place with little diversity its nice to talk with other women. Luckily I live where there's many latinas, but if I was in Idaho id be on camsoda all the time 5. Not a reason for me, but I would assume camming makes it easier for married guys with watchful wives to play around. Not every guy can lie and say they went to a business trip or the grocery store for 2 hours. 6. Anonymity, you can say some pretty crazy stuff to cam girls. Worst penalty is you get blocked from the room. Same goes for message boards lol.

  Well, I have just because she has danced at both nude and topless clubs. But you can’t beat seeing nude pictures and videos in a well lit bedroom than a dark vip room.

I respectfully disagree, I prefer the real thing to any picture, even if the picture is in a well lit bedroom and the real thing is in a dark VIP room Give me an average stripper (or BG) in a VIP room any day over a picture of a perceived 10.

  NJBalla should just copy and paste his list into the half dozen or so other threads on this tired topic. +1 on convenience, and hadn't given it any thought beyond that. Why did phone sex work? Because some guys were able to get off on that and were willing to pay for it. Cam girls are basically phone sex girls you can see, and unless you buy them out for private time it's a party line. If it doesn't do it for you, then it doesn't do it for you. This isn't that complicated.

  I would be willing to give it a try if there was a way to search by club / stage name or at least geographical area because the only benefit for me would be to interact with a few strippers I already know and I'm missing a little bit during this shut-down. I'd pay the $15 a month or whatever to see some current pics and videos, or be able to communicate with them in an interactive way where maybe I'd get to see them do some stuff that doesn't happen in the club. I took a look at "Onlyfans" since everyone is talking about it. Man that's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. There's no search functionality and the only thing you get before committing to make a payment is a tiny avatar of the chick's face. WTF? How is that supposed to convince me to fork over my money? The only way I'd try it is if a stripper I knew personally, a real CF, invited me to her page. Otherwise you're better off with the free version of PornHub.

This is how the platform is being used by many dancers who are trying to pivot into another source of revenue. It is a business proposition, just like the first time you met whomever one of your IRL stripper favs might be. An entertainer's IRL understanding of the dynamic with most customers is filtered through money, even if they genuinely like you. Having customers they like who also convert into sales is a bonus. This conversation has gotten to point where people who don't even use OnlyFans (like the person who posts as wallanon) are explaining the point. To broaden this out a little, grunting at something like it's a problem because in one of a dozen other threads you might've been more articulate about why you don't pay for a product is why this zombie discussion won't die. Context is a thing. If you don't want to spend money on OnlyFans or cams, then don't. But for fuck's sake stop treating every mention of it like a bowl of Cheerios. People have gotten rich off marketing things that seemingly have no value to a lot of people, but there a lot of different people who still paid for the product or service. Put simply, if you are not already a fan who doesn't need convincing to shell over money for the content behind the paywall it's probably not intended for you. But if you buy it anyway then great.
