The Saints won their first NFL championship while I was living in New Orleans. I was one of a handful of people who were not Saints fans (or even pretending to be), but I was surprised that everyone showed up to work on time that day. One EVP even remarked "I didn't think I was going to be here today!"
I have been making the case for years that the Super Bowl should be moved to a Saturday, and Independence Day celebrated on a Monday (with fireworks the evening before).
