Anyone know the quality of the wifi in the hotel? My phone won't be in service in Mexico so wifi calling is my only hope at contacting friends and family.

The wifi is good, not very good in the rooms of north wing. North wing is above the main entrance where the limo drop off/pickup. The wifi is poor or none in the south wing. I would recommend to check the rooms before you pay at the counter.

I stayed on the 7th floor overlooking the alley. Was pleasantly surprised how well the wifi worked.

In the rooms and at Azul is ok. About 10mb/s the couple times I measured.

You can also look into a prepaid SIM card for Mexico even if just for the data. Then your WhatsApp, FaceTime or google voice will work anywhere

In the deluxe room I was in on Fridya night. It sucked. That was the 6th floor. Sunday Night in master's suite, it was really good. That was on the 8th floor. Yeah. I cut my cellular off and cut roaming off to prevent charges. I depend solely on wifi calling, however, AT&T swear I have unlimited Canada and Mexico calls, but I don't believe them.

The rooms in the middle have good wifi. If your room has weak wifi, you can stand in the hallway or sit at the couches on every floor for strong wifi. AT&T does have the unlimited everything plan for $70/mo including Can & Mex.

I typically stay in Master Suites, and have always had great Wifi service. AT&T US Cell service also works well from some of the rooms, especially those on the south side.
