some tips from my experience...

Jascoi Mr Wonderful to single moms and college age girls...

I'll never forget my first visit back in May of 2014. went down there with a experienced online friend and it was epic...
first checked out Adelitas for about a half an hour then on to Hong Kong. stayed there probably six to eight hours and then drove back to LA.
.
took me about a half a year before I started staying in the hotels Cascada and Rizo on a regular basis because it would take a few hours to drive and I thought as long as I'm going to drive may as well stay for a few days at a time. I always stay at least two nights many times three nights sometimes for an even a couple of times five nights...
so I've been down to enjoy the clubs and the ladies... and the neighborhood hundreds of times since and the only fly in the ointment has been the bandits with badges...
I've had no problems eating the food down there... I tend to favor eating in Hong Kong Club ordering from a mesero and use the BOGO coupon... of course there's a lot of times I eat at Senda Norte cafe and Azul ... and use my HK VIP card for a discount. I also have a few Street tacos from time to time and I do hang out with some friends that know their way around to different restaurants in Tijuana and the Playa and down to Porto Nuevo at the south end of Rosarito.
.
definitely EPIC and a nice option so close to home. it's become one of my favorite... but I've started visiting a few other spots such as Thailand since then and have plans on Europe one of these days and back to Southeast Asia. OLE!

the HK Zona Shuttle is definitely my preferred transportation now. much less risk than a taxi or even Uber. I tip the Zona shuttle driver anywhere between $2 to $5 depending on the current situation.

the bandits with badges situation definitely has been bad the last 2 years.
prior to that I used to walk many times from the San Ysidro border crossing to the Hong Kong Club. it's only about a mile walk and I would do it day and night with no problems. but that was a different earlier time of my experience...

@Jascoi. Damn, I'm not sure how you survive 5 nights. I just returned and was wore the hell out after three! Completely agree on the Zona shuttle.
