Was it the homeless or street thugs out at night? No. While walking back I was solicited not just for a ride like the other cab drivers passing by, but for a ride to an "Asian Massage Parlor". Go figure...

Lord knows where THAT would've been.... and tha same cabbie probably would've waited outside just to get the sure fare to come from taking me home. Would've been a smart move on his part, for the cabs were REALLY lined up at every strip club just waiting and hoping to get a fare. Vegas is definitely slow now...<br />

I guess the "happy ending" was I finally made it home in one piece!
I remember reading reviews on SR and people claim if you come by taxi they charge you $50 cover (and give you 2 free drink tickets) because they have to pay the cabbies so much for a kickback. I hope this kind of practice does not spread out from Vegas.
Sam, I believe if one either drives themselves or walks (like I did to Rhino), you get in for $20, which pays for your first two drinks. Thereafter, you are not required to buy another drink for the rest of your stay, however long that may be. Not being drink hustled (like Detroit-- must always have one in front of you, or Columbus--pay for the dancer's company) was really nice. Also, the Rhino doesn't clip songs. If they want to charge $50 for those folks taking taxis, I say go ahead, so long as they continue their current drink policy and lengthy songs.
