Does anybody else remember the episode of the original twilight zone where the protagonist had fled to an asteroid to escape a prison sentence, but was paying for that with extreme loneliness. His once-a-year supply ship brought him a surprise - a very attractive fembot programmed to react to his every need. Despite his initial resistance, he warmed to the idea and eventually fell in love, unable to distinguish her from the real thing.

The next supply ship brought good news. He had been pardoned! The kicker was that he could only take 15 pounds of personal effects with him.

I think this scenario could well come to pass.
