So I have been kicking around the possibility of graduating up the extras ladder. However despite a million public health websites about the risks of getting an STD there isn't much tangible information. If I decide to do anything it will be with a sugar baby and I'll get us both STD tested first so I am not super worried about HIV and some of the other serious STDs. It seems like herpes is the problem. A lot of the time it isn't even included in a STD test as it's so common. Do you guys just accept the fact that you either have it or are going to get it?
I was questioning a partner about STD history one time and she failed to mention herpes. I asked her if she had it and her response was, “Doesn’t everyone?”
I've brought up the same topic several times and probably worry the most about herpes HSV1 and HPV throat cancer. Condoms do a poor job of protecting against genital herpes, so getting the antibody test is a good idea.
First off, StdCheck.com offers HSV1 and HSV2 antibody testing and the testing is very fast and efficient. You can pull up your test results on your phone to share with your partner. I always decline the HSV2 testing since about 80% of my generation is carrying HSV2 from non-sexual childhood contact. I've never been tested for HSV2 -- and even though I've never had mouth cold sores it's theoretically possible to shed HSV2 mouth-to-genitals via DATY. Even if I did test positive for HSV2, I wouldn't know what to do with the information. All HSV1 tests have been negative.
There's no test for HPV in men and only a small handful of HPV strains cause throat cancer and exposure to the "bad" strain doesn't mean it will develop into throat cancer.
I take it that genital HSV1 isn't the end of the world, but divulging to your partner is necessary IMO. The stigma is worse than the symptoms. So I think the standard 10-test panel is the best bet, minus HSV2.
I'm writing from the perspective of having one or two SBs per year. If you're the kind of guy who fucks several strippers per month, you'll probably end up with genital herpes whether you use condoms or not.
@randommember - Are you sure you aren't getting 1 and 2 reversed? 1 is oral and 2 is genital. Also good to hear you have never had cold sores. It seems odd to me that if 80% of the population has is but I rarely ever see someone with an outbreak.
Should HK lovers worry about this? Those ladies service a lot of men so the odds are greater of catching something. The typical American stripper outside of Detroit has not been around the block that much. At least that’s what I want to believe.
I have had fever blisters and canker sores ever since I was a young child. so I have the virus in me. when I was a teenager my mother did some research and found that taking the amino acid 'lysine' is a huge help. you can buy it at target, Walmart, drug stores and grocery stores and it's relatively cheap. it's pretty much inevitable you're going to get it if you don't have it already. and if you don't have it simply don't have sex or contact with anybody else.
Not to sound sketchy, but be extra careful with black chicks going the extras route as around half or more of them have genital herpes; it could be much higher with sex workers. If you include cold sores, it might be just about all of them (and yes, transmitting HSV-1, cold sores, to the genitals is actually getting much more common now that kids are not as exposed to it early in life anymore)...

Some CDC stats on the prevalence of herpes:
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/products/databr…
BBBJ is pretty low risk for the person getting blown.
With a condom the only big risks are HPV and one of the HSV. If you've been around the block, you have had HPV in your life, often symptomless.
