This question is for Hong Kong veterans, so others are free to skip this discussion if they wish.
I've been to HK a bunch of times, so I'm no rookie, but it's been more than a year since I was there (January 2018). I keep up with the reviews and discussions here on TUSCL and know that the VIP card is now good for only three months, not four. But it seems like there might be more changes.
For one thing, it seems like there are fewer coupons available on the HK website. Right now they only have four -- for a free appetizer and two beers (Mon & Tues only), BOGO appetizer at Azul, BOGO drink, and free border pick-up and drop off. I distinctly remember there being more in the past, including a coupon for a half-price private lap dance (or $11 instead of $21) and I think a few other things. I don't really care about food and drink; I'm primarily there for the, um, exquisite personal interaction with the chicas bonitas. The last time I was there I had pre-printed a number of coupons and made good use of them.
Also, I think buying the VIP card bought you some discount coupons in the club (aside from the hotel discount next door), but other than one free drink and special seating for large groups, I don't see anything listed with the VIP membership perks on the website that provide discounts in the club itself.
I will be there in a few weeks, and I'm always looking for ways to stretch my dollars. What am I missing?
