I wonder how they are remodeling it, and perhaps more importantly, why are they remodeling it?

Despite the tepid reports, to me it sounded like it had great potential.

Likely they are remodeling it for a purpose, as it will always be designed to influence what goes on within it.

Because they want to alter what goes on within it. Such facilities are built for specific purposes.

The Miami VIP Room is better for groups and parties but it seemed to me to be a waste of money for me and my bargirl.

After one tour of the room and an attempt to upsell I wasn't convinced, I returned to the Miami lounge and sent the bargirl on her way, I felt she was trying to scam me.

about 12 noon (a few minutes ago) I took a girl to the Privado five minute lap dance and the mesero took us into the Miami room which is still under minor repair and clean up. i guess it will be fully open this weekend.

^^^^^^ I am not a tourist. I have 24/7 highly sensitive embedded political responsibilities. So I will have to pass.

And something like the HK bar has very little to do with having a Capitalist society. Mexico is already far to the left of the US.

^ I must say SJG you seem extremely ungracious people have extended invitations to you, just this last one by founder, and instead of thanking them politely whether or not you accept that invitation, you respond like a jerk posting the same drivel as always.
Your life and existence seem to be friendless and unhappy, I pity you.

So the owners donate all their profits to charity? What a delusional statement that confuses what you want with what actually exists in reality.

^^^^^^^ Ding Bat, the kind of Capitalism which runs on enormous corporation, worth tens of billions of dollars, that has very little to do with a business the scale of even a large strip club hotel like the HK.

Twentyfive, my f2f life is private. Are you asking for another visit from Mamisan? Sounds like you need it.

Upright, Capitalism is absolutely defined by the scale of the enterprises. What I am suggesting for UBI is not actually Socialism. But in a Socialist state it will be the large industries which are publicly owned, but only the large ones.

So for example, in Mexico the petroleum industry and the railroads are publicly owned, generally putting them to the left of the US. But something like the HK bar and Cascadas hotel will not be publicly owned.

In Europe, both FIAT and Scandia ( Volvo ) have at times been largely publicly owned. Same gots for one of the main airlines in France.

SJG, capitalism is defined by scale? So, when Bezos and his 3 programmers were selling books from his garage, he wasn't a capitalist?

I would say no, small business is not what people mean when they point to the problems created by Capitalism.

It was the Republican Party, during the Grant admin, which became the Party of Big Business.

Most Big Business is getting a huge degree of support from the federal government. Otherwise it would not exist.

And Upright, I don't mind if people disagree with me. But I do respond very differently when people are attacking the privacy of my f2f life.

Capitalism is a system which was invented to break down Crafts Guilds and small scale business. And this is exactly what someone like Bezos has done.

While I would not say that he is wrong or that we should try to stop him. But under no circumstances should he be getting an special tax breaks or other deals.

^^^^^ No, they really aren't. In other industrialized countries they exist and work in collaboration.

Here in the US, because of or legacy of racism, and because of the politicization of the evangelical Christian movement, we live in disinformation swirl.

Legacy of racism. Have you ever visited a South American country? They hate each other. European countries too. Germans can't stand Poles, Czech hate French. We don't have a legacy of racism here. The only people suffering from racism are the ones playing the victim card.

If this country was racist, there'd be no way a black man is elected president, or a black woman is queen of all media (Oprah)

Get out of the mid 1900s, grab a hold of the 21st century, and have some fucking fun. Well all be dead someday. Make the dash on your tombstone mean something.
  • san_jose_guy
Legacy of racism is how Richard Nixon was able to win in 1968, and how Republicans were able to take over the south. People voted for Republicans because Lyndon Johnson pushed the 1964 Civil Rights Act through.

Not too far back, Texas was represented in the Senate by Lyndon Johnson and Ralph Yarborough.

Most all of our elections are heavily influenced by racism.

How people vote correlates to either race or regular church attendance.

I have plenty of marks on my tombstone already. There are lots of people who would like to kill me. I am active in Guerilla Politics, and this means taking people down.

And I have tremendous fun, far better than ejaculation services. I have fun when I can win, accomplish something. And often that does mean taking someone down. Nothing is more fun than this!

But I also protect the security of my operations, no different from the CIA here.

...and hate is not a legacy.

Build something people want, like and enjoy. Often they want to give you $ for that since they see you as someone contributing something of value to the world and they feel you deserve it. People also by nature want fair trade and from what they perceive as greater value to them than they are paying for it. This is called a seller creating value...not a zero sum or negative sum game. You seem to imply capitalism destroys value while it's quite the opposite. That's why people like Jeff Bezos have soo much wealth. They create value to the consuming public and the money will just flow to anyone who creates it.

Capitalism destroys traditional economies, and it does this only with full support from the government.

Now we will have lower and lower employment levels. This is actually good, but only so long as the poor are not pilloried. And the only way to make this so is UBI.

    Capitalism is always Crony Capitalism.

Think British East India Company, what did they need, Labor, Materials, Markets, Capital. And how did they get this? Government, Government, Government, Government.

You know LBJ was way more racist than any president in our lifetime, right?

On swaying votes with handouts --
"I'll have them niggers voting Democratic for two hundred years."

    On Devisivness --
"If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."

On playing the race card --
"Negroes, they're getting pretty uppity these days and that's a problem for us since they've got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we've got to do something about this."

All attributed to the man who was President when I was born, Lydon Baines Johnson

    https://en.m.wikiquote.org/wiki/Lyndon_B…

If we had Twitter back then he would make Trump blush, which is arguably very hard to do since he's already orange, and has no filter.

^^^^^ You guys believe Right Wing Propaganda. LBJ, I have no doubt, would have said goofy stuff. But he pushed through the biggest law ever to terminate legalized racial discrimination. All the gains since, are because of that law. But it did mean that Nixon and the Republicans were able to take over the South and shift the way federal elections go.

He pushed the law to "keep niggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years"

Right now, during the 2 years of Trump's presidency, Black Americans are making the biggest gains ever in income and employment.

Obama had 8 years. 8! All I ever saw was the homeless population swell in my area, and it disproportionately affected Blacks.

I'm not here to change any minds, but it seems that Dems like to play the Victim card, while Reps like to play the Opportunity card.
  • san_jose_guy
Closed game, zero sum. In 2008 the economy collapsed. Obama did much to get it restarted again.

But housing is becoming out of reach for more and more people. So called "opportunity" just means getting employment and income which someone else needs just as much. Wealth gap increases with each boom and bust cycle.

Trump has done nothing which is in any way constructive.

Obama got the Affordable Care Act, also increased vehicle fuel efficiency standards, and this is paying off already.
