  I recall back in the mid 80s former RB George Rodgers admitted that he played 1 season with the Saints high on coke.

  I suspect he probably has some undisclosed minor knee injury like partial miniscus tear or something that will heal without surgery. If the Rams knew and didn't report it they would get screwed by the league for not reporting it so they just have to say he's healthy and get to off season.
  
  Gurley is a star, but i imagine many bordeline guys and depth guys play through all kinds of stuff without getting it really checked out, and just try to play through it so they stay on the team.
