Strip Club TV Ads

Detroit
It is still common to hear strip club radio advertisements, but now a days, how often do you see a strip club TV advertisement? I just walked into the gym and one of the TVs was showing an advertisement for Legends in Detroit. However, based on what I saw (audio for all TVs is muted), they were promoting it like either an upscale resturaunt or nightclub. Still, this caught me by surprise to see a strip club ad on TV. It turns out this ad was aired on ESPN during a commercial break during coverage of the US Open.

When I used to live in a smaller town, there was only one strip club and there were radio ads that constantly advertised for new dancers.

Too bad I didn’t have the balls to dance back then. Instead I had to have a degrading job for $10/hr.

Yeah - rare to see it on TV - probably 50+ clubs in South-FL and only seen one on TV for Goldfinger near Ft Lauderdale and it was kinda late at night past midnight

I have no commercial TV service. Hence no commercials.

Many years ago, if you were up very late at night, there used to be cheesy ads for the Foxy Lady. Pretty sure that's a thing of the past.

A few of you mentioned seeing ads on TV late at night. That is the most logical time to air them, as only adults would typically be awake during those hours.

I guess the most surprising part was that it was 4:00 in the afternoon when I saw this ad on TV.

Strip club ads used to be all over the sports pages of the newspaper too. Now days, I don’t think I see or hear advertising anywhere around here.

I hear it somewhat often for several clubs on my local (Miami) sports radio stations; but have only seen one commercial on TV.

And on the local black radio stations late at night I hear some for some of the local black clubs .

Probably about 5 years ago I was watching the late news with my dad at his house and an ad comes on for a trashy strip club. Local ad. We both were shocked.

A lot of the Dayton clubs used to run TV. I don't watch any live tv since I switched from cable to streaming services so I don't know if they still do or not.

I catch them occasionally on very late television. I can't be convinced they're worth whatever they pay for them, unless they're a lot cheaper than I realize.

Savannah's on Hanna in Harrisburg PA had a TV spot for a while, as well as a billboard visible from the bridge over the Susquehanna. Going up route 15 there were billboards for a couple of clubs (both defunct now).

Papi,

It had to be very early morning TV. No idea what I was watching. Thought I mentioned it on TUSCL at the time
