It's difficult for men to balance on being in charge and being sexually respectful. My first date with my new g/f could have been sexual if I had insisted but I went the more platonic route...I like this woman (who is a dancer!) and we had a great dinner, some 3rd base car fun and I took her home. I didn't want to press the sex as I want it to be the raision d'etre for the relationship.
Other women would have been pissed at me...who knows. I have found erring on the side of caution has the best long term results.
