The Bos'n on a Pirate ship plans a tribute to his late Captain who fell in battle seeking booty. He carves the late Captain's Peg leg into a wooden whistle to be played at his memorial service. Unfortunately to the Bos'n's shame when it came time to send his late Captain's remains to Davy Jone's Locker, the wooden whistle would'n whistle.
Undeterred, the Bos'n brought his trusty steel pipe from his pocket, but upon attempting the ceremonial note it steel wood'n whistle.
The quick-thinking Purser thought he could salvage the moment and produced a whistle made of gold from a treasure chest below-decks, but alas when he handed it to the Bos'n it was the same gold story, steel wood'n whistle.
