So I travel a lot. The extent of my travel is not that vast, as most of my trips are back and forth from Upstate NY's capital region to NYC. During the trip, I've calculated that I pretty much pass 8 strips clubs on the way. The trip starts upstate where I live nearby my home club and favorite hangout, Capital Hideaway. (www.capitalhideaway.com) I spend a lot of time at this club. It's comfortable, small, secluded and very affordable. I happen to live closeby, but in terms of the area, it's 10 minutes from Albany and 35 minutes from Saratoga Springs. This club is a great place to hang out. Nobody ever annoys me for dances or tries to upsell me with drinks or cheesy promotions. Capital Hideaway has a great staff of girls and the club manager, Hector, is really friendly. Often I find myself going there just to hang out with him. I love this club because it's clean, relaxing, and very hot in the VIP. They have a cool 2nd level of VIP that is upstairs from the main floor. There is something about going up the spiral stairs that just equates sexy time to me now. I know that sounds corny but I really like the fact that you get truly private dances. I recommend Lola or Mya for some really hot steamy VIP dances. But we'll get back to Capital Hideaway later.
Also in the capital region we have DiCarlo's and NiteMoves. DiCarlo's has a great location, but it looks like a diner and the place is so un-hot. The lights are always pretty bright, the girls have all kinds of pre-scripted routines for talking to you, it's just lame. There are not even seats around the bar so you literally have to airplane dollar bills across the room just to give a tip. They serve food but it's not very good at all. They do have a liquor license so it's cool to drink, but that is cancelled out by the fact that they have NO VIP areas and the private dances are "air dances". NiteMoves is cool and the girls are hot, but someone must walk around the room reminding them of that all night because they have such big attitude problems. Hats off to the management for instilling a money-first mentality, but I just hate the girls who don't even smile & expect tips and start off their conversation with "want a private dance?" So these are my other Upstate options. Anything else in this area is not even worth mentioning.
On my way to NYC I pass by Newburgh which is home to Treasure Island and a few others that, honestly, I can't stand. I pass the Poughkeepsie exit on the Thruway as well but I seldomly pass thru. The strip club display show starts when I pass thru NJ after I cross the NY state border. I pass several signs for Stiletto's (a club I like if I'm willing to blow a lot of cash) and also pass clubs called: The Harem, Satin Dolls, & Shakers. Satin Dolls is where they filmed Sopranos. It's cool but definitely lacks intimacy and feels more like a bar. Harem is a good spot and I like their VIP rooms.
Finally I arrive in NYC. I usually stay with family when I'm in this area, so it's no surprise that I can't wait to hit the strip clubs. I've been to all of them but the one I seem to feel most comfortable is Cheetah's on 43rd Street. I generally get the idea that they are not making a ton of money because their rent must be like 30K per month but I like this place. They have a lot of girls who are exchange students (believe me, I think they're full of shit too) but it's cool. The door man is a nice guy, and they make nice stiff drinks. At this club I recommend Alexandria and Meg. I usually opt for a lot of $20 private dances over the very expensive VIP lounge. Sometimes if it's a special occassion I will go to the VIP room but them I'm eating cheese and crackers for the rest of the week. This club needs to get more people inside of it though considering the location. It's in Times Square! But they do always get me when I'm in town.
So that's my blog. I'll probably be at Capital Hideaway tonight considering it's only 10:30PM and blisteringly cold. The place is my "Cheers" so I want to help it out by putting a good word out. If you go there tell, tell em you read UPSTATENYJEFF's review and it made you take a visit. Maybe they'll hook me up with a free private dance!
