You can say that again, but one could describe the place as an extremely small dump that's located waaay out in the woods! 
 
"Nobody ever annoys me for dances or tries to upsell me with drinks or cheesy promotions" 
 
...because there aren't any drink promotions here.  I agree that the hustle factor is rather low here, but you should expect to be asked for a LD & expect to get an upsell for a fully-nude LD at some point.

If this is the same short guy that's the doorman here, I agree.  He was a nice guy...he explained the pricing setup & got me a non-alcoholic drink right away (it was warm though).  He also appeared to be the same guy that was running their website, which, IMHO, is one of the best hoodwinks that I've ever seen for a SC.  When I walked into this place recently (review to follow within a week or so), I knew that I was at the right location (based on the look of the building on the outside), but the place was VERY small & rather dumpish looking.  The website makes it look waaaaay better than it actually is. 
 
"There are not even seats around the bar so you literally have to airplane dollar bills across the room just to give a tip." 
 
I think you mean that there's a lack of seating around the stage at Di Carlo's, which is very true. 
 
"They do have a liquor license so it's cool to drink, but that is cancelled out by the fact that they have NO VIP areas and the private dances are 'air dances'."

I appreciate your comments and I'm happy to reflect.  I just hate that hustle feel.  Any guy who goes to a lot of strip clubs has heard it all a million times, so there is just something nice about a girl just sitting down and chatting.  I agree, from a business perspective, it doesn't make much sense for them to just sit around and talk but I do appreciate it.  I never leave DiCarlo's happy.  I've been there many times because its on the main drag and serves booze but I hate it.  It's like a diner with half naked girls instead of haggy old ladies serving cheese fries.  Maybe one day they will make it a little more sexy inside. 
 
I laughed at your use of "hoodwink".  I actually had to google it to make sure I understood your usage.  With cool words like that, what are you doing reviewing strip clubs in albany.  You should be reviewing prose! 
 
I stand by Capital Hideaway, maybe because I spend too much time and money there.  But my recommendation is to try it later if you are looking for more action.  The club gets going after 10 usually so I'm not sure what time you went.  As for decor, well I didn't build it but is suits my needs.<img src="/editor/images/smiley/msn/shades_smile.gif" alt="" />

I was there around 9 PM or so on a Saturday night in early November I guess.  It seems like you might be able to get some good milage upstairs with the right girl.  I never had a chance to get a LD from "Alisee".  
 
Di Carlo's certainly is a different SC, but I found chatting with the girls there to be fun, especially the Russian blond cutie...she was a riot to word play around with.
