Cascadas in TJ - Is it safe ?

Anywhere there are Titties.
OK, after reading all these Reviews on TUSCL, I now have the bug to check out Hong Kong. But this might be a one time thing so I want to make the most of it. I want to experience the place in the afternoon, the evening and even in the morning. Plus I really like the idea of not having 30 minute time limits. So getting a room a Cascadas seems like a good idea.

But what about staying there. I can pack fairly light, but I'll probably want to have my laptop and some other personal items. Is my stuff safe while in the room while I"m in the club ? Am I going to be an easy target walking across the border and to a taxi with a duffle bag or suitcase? Then will I have trouble getting back across the border if I have the luggage ?

I want to hear from the people that have actually stayed there.

Going across the border and back there is like the security checkpoint at an airport you have to put your bags through a scanner. The taxis are quite close to to the border and there are often police around that area so I have never been harassed, lots of people come across with luggage and get into the taxis. I’m not a 100% sure but I have always checked into cascadas at 3 pm or later so if you come before that I think you have to leave your bag at the front desk if you want to go into the club. I’ve never had problems with hotel guys coming to my room either with my stuff in it.

Never had probs. I've left my bag with laptop and money at front desk and in room, never a prob. Is there risk? Hell yes, it's Mexico. Cascadas, however, has guys in the halls 24/7 to monitor short time room use and to, I think, provide some level of security for PLs and gals. If a hotel employee decides to rob your room, there will be no stopping it but I don't think it happens much. Just think about who is likely running the show in the zona and the likely penalties for those that fuck with the flow of dollars. Just go, stay relatively sober, wrap it up, and have fun.

ditto the above remarks. but you won't need your laptop. leave it home or in your car. i've never had a problem. the biggest risk are the tj policea. have fun. buy the hk vip card for $50. good for 4 months. if you stay monday or tuesday 80% hotel room discount. wednesday thru sunday 20% hotel room discount. check in about 3 pm. first drink free. and free ride to border. tip $1. don't overpay taxi. $5 max. keep your eyes open for hk ride (or adelitas) as you walk towards taxis. (you might be lucky and get a ride to clubs.)
