Im opening a new strip club, dont want to hire deplorable dancers, that have sued other clubs, does anyone have the Blacklist dancer Website name. I just dont want to run risk of some women suing me for doing her damn job!!
As I know its usually after a dancer retires for good, like had some kids and gained lots of weight, that she thinks about suing. That is how it went down in San Francisco.
Contractor status is not illegal, it just had to be carefully done with the help of a specialized attorney so that it is legal. And same goes for everything else about the club.
Contractor status is better than dancers being employees. But just have to do it carefully and this varies from state to state.
As much as I hate to agree with the sleepy time rapist, a good lawyer is absolutely indispensable to owning and operating a strip club. That is the best way to minimize your liability exposure, and to win when you do get in legal disputes.
I make the assumption maybe I’m wrong anyone in a position to open and operate a strip club already has legal advice. My advice stands go meet some of the other owners in your area you might make an ally and most business owners know more businesses close by attract more patrons. Competition make all of the other businesses better
If that’s the case I know there are brokers and management companies that specialize in strip clubs from when I was involved in a business a number af yeats ago that had among other things several clubs in the northeast you need to go on google and locate one of the managerment companies make an apointment pick their brains don’t commit to anything.
Some of the larger operators line Scores on the east coast and Deja Vu across the country have licensing arrangements you could get some good intel by meeting with their licensing salespeople again commit to nothing
gotta find them lot lizzards who don't know how to find a lawyer if you pointed her to one..... don't knock the deplorables, the IQ has been inbred out of them. (look at who they voted for)

Great book about this history of the legalities, about Jim and Artie Mitchell:

Should be mandatory reading for everyone with any interest in strip clubs.

There is never an guarantee, as anyone can sue anyone for anything. So you just try to set it up as best you can.
Good Luck
