So Houston entraps and arrests 139 men, including a cop and a teacher, for the heinous crime of wanting to pay for sex. Men who will lose their jobs and marriages and relationships. Houston citizens can sleep securely in their beds, knowing that police are keeping them safe from other people enjoying themselves.

Is it just me, or does it seem like there has been a significant increase in the amount of major anti-vice operations by law enforcement recently?

I don't really see that much harm in sex work. Is this a worthwhile use of our tax dollars?

Is this motivated by a bunch of PC, women's lib, SJW, activism crap, or is human sex trafficking that urgent a threat to our families and neighborhoods?

It’s not prostitution, it’s trafficking. These evil, evil men are forcing these innocent women to have sex. If not for these men, all these massage therapists would be volunteering to help the homeless. Women are always victims. Men, especially white men, are part of a rape culture. Too bad we can’t just lock up every man in the country. You know they are all deserving.

@gammanu95, it is a little more sinister (and stupid) than that however you are on the right path.

That’s fucked up. Those massage places seem to be under increased scrutiny - possibly due to trafficking concerns. It’s not going to stop the trafficking - and it probably won’t even put a dent in it either.

Lots of arguments for making it legal in my book. Not really going to get into it.

But yes a lot get into the trafficking, That bothers me. You know Atlanta is considered a hub for it. And there have been a few cases/raids where it was alleged to be happening at the AMP and escorts appt.

Personally, If it was out there more (legal) it might be easier to catch the bad players. Bad players are going to be there... They are everywhere.

It’s the oldest profession known.

They can only try to contain it, they can’t ever stop it.
