Post date and time missing

Book Guy
I write it like I mean it, but mostly they just want my money.
Is it just me, or are the dates and times for posts here on the "Discuss" page missing for all you'se guy's too? (I hereby add that this was posted on Valentine's Day 2007 at 11:35 in the morning, Central US time.)

Yeah. Wasn't just my cookies. Whole damn thing had to be rebooted. I had "Zango" and "Agobot-KU" and "Cool Web Search." It's good to know, I suppose, that if I'm missing the dates and times at TUSCL, I got something wrong. It seemes to be a useful litmus test.

Must be all that damn porn I download all the time ...

It's just you. Your cookies are fucked up. You need to reset them or something in your browser's preferences.

Funny, I noted the same problematic symptoms about ninety minutes ago. I freaked: "Oh no! I got the danged mal-ware back in my computer!" I thought. So I shut everything down, ran all the virus checkers, looked in all the old places from where I'd just removed it, but, NOTHING THERE! I came back to TUSCL, and it was down.

An hour later TUSCL is back up and the symptoms are fixed. Sounds to me like I GOT the bug from TUSCL in the first place ... hmm ...

Makes ya wanna go hmm ...

It's doing it again. When I first read this thread, I thought "big deal, there's no date/time". Experiencing it, however, I see that it IS a big deal. I customarily remember approx. what date/time it was when I last read the discussion board. Knowing that, I can go directly to the most recently posted thread that I haven't read. Without the date/time stamp, it's impossible to tell where I left off reading. Because of that, I am forced to open up each topic and look at the last few posts to see if I've read it or not. FAR from ideal, for sure.

It's been like this all day... hopefully it is fixed soon!

Doug: mine is looking fine. At 1:44 pm central time, Thurs. 2/22 I can read the TUSCL discussion page fine. Check your system for Java problems or mal-ware.

Doug: it has to be your machine. I have been checking the discussion board since 10:00 A. M. today and have never encountered the problems you are haveing. Wish I could help but I am a dumb ass when it comes to fixing computers.

I don't think it's my computer, but it COULD be related to how I was connected earlier. I've been working from home all week, and have been using a Verizon mobile card, Cisco VPN, going through a proxy server at my office, with firewall enabled... not my usual connection, but the date/time thing has been an intermittent issue all week... strange... and it's fine now, so go figure..

Oh, and in addition to the complex connection I just mentioned, I forgot that once connected, I then used pcAnywhere to connnect to one of my servers and from there I got onto the 'net and logged into TUSCL... (the last part in order to circumvent internet security reporting, which would no doubt cause me some grief with TUSCL showing up on my login id account... could be ground for firing)

Guess its no wonder that something would act strangely when going through all those hoops...
