I really enjoyed that film, more than I expected. Admitted, it's low budget with some cheesy effects and a few sections that just go on too long. And I wonder if the girls want their pictures up on the internet ... NOT. But it was really great to see the commonsensical way in which sex was approached and handled in these scenarios. I recall a similar matter-of-fact attitude among the window girls in Amsterdam, and in many other places too. To the contrary, when you're engaging in the initial stages of the get-together in less tolerant places, such as most of the USA, it's almost necessary to be paranoid, and that then upsets the dynamic and causes a much greater range of potential rip-off behavior. Then, people can't be respectful in either direction because both sides are too busy covering against their own worries about law enforcement, violence, etc.. I don't mean to claim that any system is ideal, but the above-board situations allow for a sort of neutrality and decency that I haven't seen in a while. Haven't seen it since roughly 2011, in fact, during my last trips overseas. It was nice to wallow in that honest up-front-ness for just a little while, when watching the less hardcore scenes of negotiation and discussion between the clients and (most of) the prostitutes in the film. Sure, there were some exploitative situations depicted too, don't get me wrong, it's not like I want to sugar coat it. But sometimes the tolerance and (near-) legalization work so much better than the hung up Puritanical bullshit we constantly endure here in Murka.

I've maintained for a long time that this would be a much better place if prostitution were legalized. Much less stress, more happiness and joy. As long as it's regulated so that minors or slavery aren't involved, who does it hurt?
