I've had strippers tell me about their financial goals, including a desire to work a few more years, save their money, then retire from any kind of work. Now, the more disciplined strippers can make well into 6 figures for 10, or even 20, years. So, it's theoretically possible by living moderately and investing your earnings.
Does anyone know a stripper who actually pulled this off ?
As a bonus question, when longer tenured strippers quit dancing, what is the likeliest next phase of their life ?
The strippers I know who have retired found a boyfriend with a good job and moved in with him. I don't know any strippers who had the discipline to invest their easy money and retire from dancing. Most spend their money recklessly and quit dancing only when they get to old. Then they work as waitresses or hairdressers or similar jobs.
I have yet to meet a stripper who can make her rent and car payment every month, regardless of how busy she appears to be whenever I see them in the club. ;-)
I've seen a whole bunch of paths post-retirement, but in no case is it truly retirement, it's retirement from stripping. It's not always even retirement from the sex industry; often, once they're not hot enough to be strippers anymore, I'd find their escort or massage ad, and these days, Seeking Arrangements is full of retired (and active, for that matter) strippers.
Of the stories I've followed, after stripping they can get boyfriends and husbands (and very often divorce; I'm on a lot of strippers facebooks, and it's a theme). Often, but not always, blue-collar jobs. I know at least one girl who got herself a well-to-do husband and seems to be living happily ever after
I only know of one that seems like she can pull it off. She was a school teacher, got divorced from her verbally abusive husband, moved to Vegas and became a stripper. She wants to save enough to pay cash for a house then go back to teaching. She's in a hurry to meet her goal because I'm pretty sure she escorts on the side as well.
I also know another that cammed and got married, but found out later her and her husband both filed for bankruptcy. I would say that is NOT succeeding.
Only one. A dancer named Cassie at Baby Dolls in Dallas back around 2013. She saved and planned and opened up a "buy here, pay here" car lot just like she said she would. Was glad I got to know her for the time she was dancing...absolutely stunning girl with an amazing personality.
Truth be told, there are lots of sex WORKERS who do a lot better financially than lots of folks, including PL custies. I respect strippers because they are willing to WORK, instead of sitting on their asses, or being totally financially dependent on Mommy, Daddy, BF, GF or spouse.
One specific sub category I've wondered about were strippers from foreign countries. I've gotten to know strippers from Eastern Europe, South America, and Southest Asia. If they could accumulate $200,000 working in the states, that would be an absolute fortune back home.
I know of several former dancers who got regular jobs however I tend to lose contact with them quickly unless they appear one last time in a club and want to speak to me.
I mostly see two trends- hey either eject safely (most of these girls have a plan and the will power to follow it) or just kinda drop off the face of the earth. Maybe the drop-offs had a plan and followed, and just played their cards close to their enhanced chests to preserve their privacy.
I don't know of any that are fully retired even though I've met plenty that said they "had an exit plan."
From my experience, it seems they genuinely try to retire and find a regular job. But many times it seems they can't make it in the real world actually having to work 5 days a week and have federal and state taxes taken out of their check.
So, many that I've known have either come back to dancing or have done it off and on to supplement their income. However there is definitely a shelf life to stripping as the inevitable effects of time take their toll on girls and there are always new, younger versions of them waiting to take their place.

Only if mark94 marries them.

Most just stop working one day.
