New Study on Drug Use Confirms What Black People Have Been Saying This Whole Time

A recent study published in the American Journal of Public Health found that delinquent, non-Hispanic whites are more likely to abuse "hard drugs," such as cocaine or opiates, than their black counterparts, which might be news for some Americans. But for many blacks across the nation, the study confirms what was already known.
So much for stereotypes.

Is that news? Seems like that would make perfect sense based on population demographics of the USA
White 61%
Black 12%
Hispanic 18%
Asian 6%

I read a similar study where it said non Hispanic whites were more likely to be billionaires

So it sounds like its looking at a very select subset of the population. Not comparing racial groups overall.

@ime unfortunately when it comes to racism, people are quick to discard logic in favour of a good ol' outdated smear campaign.

ime, your statistical observation is a non sequitur. The fact that whites are [now] more likely to use hard drugs than their non-white counterparts has nothing to do with their percentage of the population! By your logic, the fact that whites are more likely to get a sunburn than non-white people is caused by the fact that there are more of them. That makes no sense

I guess the article is a good example of how easy it is to bait people with fake news and spread it. The scientific article is quoting a few words out of context and only talks about addiction rates for those who spent in detention as juvvies.

It is well known that Whites are the biggest drug addicts. People of color, immigrants, and those who have grown up poor, conduct themselves more responsibly.
You need to have privilege to give your life over to drugs, or otherwise make an ass of yourself.
And this applies all the more so with strippers.
But if you find anyone who talks in Born Again speak, then you can know that either with them or in their family, there are designated scapegoats who live on alcohol, drugs, and criminality. And if the scapegoat is female, then it is also SEX!
