I also have been surprised by the Carl's Jr. ads, especially because they have no relationship to what the restaurants are actually like, and because for most people they would be seen as beyond the pale.
"Beyond the Pale" was the 6th album I put out and really established my career as a top comedian. It's also one of my most successful steps in my organization, grossing much profit.
SJG are you sure you're not a fan of my comedy? You seem to promote much of my stuff with links, and even making references like "Beyond the Pale" a TUSCL innuendo as an homage to my career. What can I say? I'm flattered!
But I know my PERSONAL boycott of Hardees (and Carl Jr's) will continue just from what I know about Pudzer will definitely continue. I feel I will be healthier for it (actually since I vowed not to eat at his restaurants I've for the most part avoided fast food altogether)
Puzder is a total dick. He was "unaware" that his personal housekeeper was an illegal immigrant who failed to pay taxes. Great American and just perfect for the Trump cabinet. Yeah, right.
The ads would seem to be ads for the food, but not the restaurants. They show food being eaten lots of other places, having nothing to do with the restaurants. Most of the Carl's Jr. food would be eaten in the restaurants, in people's cars, or in nearby places, like work places.
The lack of concern for this, and for the restaurants themselves, shows a lack of concern for workers and customers.
And then when he says, "Ugly women don't sell burgers", that is an extremely sexist and callous remark. I feel that it shows a low regard for their female employees, as he ads do nothing to showcase the restaurants of employees.
Kudos to Rev Mike Morran, First Unitarian Church, Denver Colorado. And if he would like a contingent of Christian Eating Lions to guard the outside perimeter, he only has to say the word.

But about the Carl's Jr. ads, consider
1. The kind of a business which this is
2. The fact that lots of women work there
3. The seeming problem with sexual harassment
Do you feel that the Carl's Jr. ads are appropriate? I do not.
