Research Q : Escort income range

Anybody can cite any research or link to statistics done into this ? The market is unregulated and undocumented. My "research" throws a few interesting facta for escorts in us... The median rate for gfe is generally quoted at 600 per hour, while the mean would be slightly lower. Any established escort or agency will have their ranges from 400 to 1500 per hour. Any outliers are either amateurs or really special at this point. Going by the median , let's try and estimate the number of bookings that they would get on average. Going by review sites there seems to be average 2 per month. As this is kind of a narcissistic contest among guys I would guess that these would be anywhere b/w 1/3 to exact number of appointments they get. Taking the upper end of 6 hour long appointments ( well there may be some multi hour dates which I leave in 6). That would mean monthly income of 600 * 6 = 3600 per month (no taxes). This would be equivalent of someone making 80-85K a year pre tax. I don't know the exact number of appointments but the dynamic pricing for which there are computational ways to set the high price where you could milk the market to full potential with minimum number of appointments. This may sound counterintuitive but the pricing is in a way that there is a barrier to entry for dumasses but one appointment would pay you 600. I would say the perfect price would be close to 750 per hour. Maybe the better ones know it and if they are making 10 appointments (with a few multi hour dates) then they may make close 200K a year. However there may be outliers and few may like to brag. However I am quite confident of the range. Average street walker may make 30K, average escort may make 60 to 100K and the few better ones may be making b/w 150 to 200K. Strippers on other hand are a whole different story... And the same story. Just change appointment to a night at the club. They have fixed 8-12 days work but they still make much lesser money comparatively. Opening discussion :)

    Knowing how much escorts make is all over the place, kinda like knowing how much restaurants make, it's all over the place - plus there's no paper trail so pretty much a black box

    I know of 5 former Follies dancers that are working for the same escort agency. Their published rates are: $200/30 min in call $250/hr in call $300/hr out call 2 of them have confirmed to me that the agency cut is 40%.

    @papi well yes and no , the advertising , review boards are shrinking and the number of times the ads are posted can give you good idea whether they are getting appointments or not. High end escorting nowadays is more like buying books from Amazon. They know the data well. Having clubbed for so long I am sure you can estimate how much strippers make especially you :)

    @shadowcat close enough. 40℅ cut is bang on target. However they are barely better than street walkers. Most escorts have gone independent and high.

    Part of the problem is that these chicks don't have dteady income, perhaps the lookers can get clients all the time but probably not the avg escort not to mention there seems to be a good amount of competition - i.e. the $$$ can be up and down for many of them

    No great insite here, but Papi has it right. Strippers seem to get motivated for short periods of time, get a bit of cash in their hands, and they think they are rich. I know one stripper that told me that she saved up $6000. A few weeks later she can't pay her phone bill. She has no kids and a bf once in a while. She does like weed.

    All I know about the escorting industry is that I would have to file for bankruptcy pretty quickly if I were to rely on it for my income stream.

    Problem is, you're looking at it all wrong. Question should be, how much money does an escort have at the end of the week? And answer, unfortunately for most, is none. After they put it up their nose, shoot it in their arm, drink it down, smoke it up, support their deadbeat boyfriend/husband, pay their rent & car payment, there is nothing left. If there was, they wouldn't be escorting. Now, of course, there are those who are good with money (just like anywhere else), but strippers and escorts just seem to be worse with it.

    @impala don't get the cliché wrong man I'm not talking about hookers with financial issues. As you go to the high end most of these girls are very smart (most have masters), independent and they are quite sober day in day out. They have started to treat this entrepreneurial job with high integrity. Some claim to be from ivy leagues. Most have no tattoos, no scars no abusive history and they advertise this as such. They spend too much but they don't do drugs not even smoking. Escorting 2.0 has become modelling in private. They file taxes , print paystubs to self using websites and have a good lease. When they saturate their market they take a tour to different cities, get a new photoshoot , add certifications for kink, bondassage and much more. The better ones buy and operate their own web domains. They dont use gmail , outlook or yahoo and fly very well under the radar. They treat this procession with high integrity.

    It's 30% to the agencies over here, English girls earn upwards of $360 an hour incall through to just short of $500, for that you'll get the pick of some fantastic girls. You can get a wide choice of EE girls a lot cheaper.
