NFL

Did you see in a desperate attempt to boost sagging ratings NBC and the NFL had the game on rather than cover the debate. (I watched neither) Baseball playoffs were on instead!
I read that NFL viewer ship ratings have fallen(12% average nationwide) to the point the advertisers are demanding lower rates as prescribed in their contracts.
I guess fans are tired of uneven enforcement of the rules and the whiny overpaid prim-donnas.

I read many articles on this issue over weekend. Seems that nobody can figure out why rating are down. There has been talk about kneeling athletes pissingn off viewers but they still think those viewers are still tuning in.

Up to this point I typically watch at least one of the night games on Sunday / Monday / Thursday but I've only watched one so far, just been too busy with other stuff.

Heck I haven't even bet on any games this year, mybe that's why I haven't been paying attention.

Sagging ratings, well sure. Now that they know about my Christian Eating Lions, nobody wants to sit and watch a football game.

I still enjoy watching the game but Goodell's attempts to soften it and so many needless penalty calls by officials are taking much of the fun out of it.

^^^^^^ Won't have to worry about anything like that when my Christian Eating Lions come out. No penalties, no referees, nothing to soften it at all.

Football is too contrived, too irrelevant to anything which could possibly matter to anyone.

I'd rather watch proper bloodsport: Boxing and MMA. :)

But for myself, I wouldn't care who would win. So I prefer just to watch a slaughter.

Instead of admitting to the brutality of the sport and getting treatment for the older players, they want the rest of us to watch flag football for grown-ups

My Christian Eating Lions solve all such problems. Never any pretext that it is anything other than people getting off on extreme cruelty.

So this is why today, NFL ticket sales are sinking.

At some point in the future I will be following up with Mexican style donkey shows, and then trying to get orgies going. Human sacrifices always make people want to fuck.

Never though much of the NFL.

Read a few articles on this. Prevailing thought is after the election the ratings should bounce back. I don't really think it is any less popular despite that assclown Goodell's best attempts to ruin it.

SJG you are a fucking moron, Ticket sales aren't sinking it was tv ratings, just keep up with your lame fantasies you remain a faggot.

Are you going to suck their dicks, give them prostate massages, do DFE (DonkeyFriendExperience) with them, or all three?

No!

You know what donkey shows are for, and especially after a large scale human sacrifice, to get everyone ready to fuck. Just like they use it for in Mexico.

After the donkeys, then I'll have zillions of strippers to send out into the audience.

These will be awesome events. Probably they will just have to cancel the football games outright.

You don't like the idea of feeding Christians to lions?

You weren't at their debut, right after that silly Super Bowl?

I can understand not watching the Thursday night games unless it is the team you follow as those games usually suck no one wants them except the NFL for revenue. Players hate them, fans hate them because they go so late.

Yes, but no one wants to watch football games anymore, not after they have seen my Christian Eating Lions. So they will gladly drop anything from the bankrupt NFL, and show my lions instead.

I started watching football in the early-80s when dynasties could still be had - the salary-cap (aka socialism; aka mediocrity) began in 1994 and to me personally the game has never been the same nor as good - back in the day you would have a handful of teams that were stacked and when they went at it it would be epic - some manginas will whine and say "it's not fair; we don't have a big-market team and we can't compete" - pussyfication never leads to best-outcomes IMO.- the salary-cap has made everybody pretty-much mediocre - it has "evened out things" by making the strong weaker not necessarily making the weaker (teams) stronger.

They'd have to change it to gladiator conflict, with weapons, to get me to watch.

But my Christian Eating Lions are even better.

There are a number of reasons for it I'm sure, but one has to be how watered down the competition has become this year. This is especially true at the QB position. Besides Tom Brady, who is there in the league that really excites anyone as a top flight talent at QB? Manning is gone, RG3 is a bust, Andrew Luck has lost his stride and even Aaron Rodgers has struggled this year. With rare exceptions, the QB play this year has been as mediocre as I have ever seen it. There is only 1 team in the league that is even undefeated after only 5 games and Minnesota is unlikely to hold onto that for the whole season.

And to both my points and gawker's above, the ratings for the Pats aren't down. The Pats game against Cleveland on Sunday was the most highly rated program of the week in the Boston market and handily beat the presidential debate. Just sayin.' ;)

Unproven rookies and long time known quantities, like Rivers and Big Ben, aren't gonna' cut it. A couple of years ago we had a crop of name brand superstars slinging it around the field and now we don't. Now us hard core types appreciate the more nuanced stuff, like the rookies who are starting to perform or the known guys who are having good years, but the more casual fans need that high profile stuff in order to get excited about games.

It is good to be a Pats fan though because we still get the full package. ;)

i can see the nfl ratings being down lately due to the mlb playoffs along with the presidential debates. but yeah a lot of nfl mediocre play. sloppy offensive execution and too many ref flags can make it a rough watch. also having 2 ny teams playing like shit is not helping either.
