There was an article in The Huffington Post a year ago, March 2015

"In the age of easily accessible online porn, strip clubs just aren’t the draw they once were, and now an industry insider says the establishments are an endangered species in Canada.Toronto had 63 strip clubs a decade ago, and is down to just 14, pointed out Tim Lambrinos, director of the Adult Entertainment Association of Canada (AEAC), in an interview with CBC. “The market demand for adult entertainment clubs is a male around a certain age,” he said. “It seems that young Canadian males are more distracted with other types of interests — Game Boys, plugging in things and so on and it's almost as if the young women are the ones bringing them out to the clubs now.”

It’s not just shrinking demand that is leaving strip clubs an endangered species. As Canada’s cities redevelop their urban cores, the relatively low-rent spaces strip clubs occupy are disappearing one by one, replaced by condos and urban retail.

In some instances, public opposition to new clubs has stopped cities from issuing licenses.

Porn may be available. But strip clubs tend to offer more than they used to.

So I would say it works the other way, strip club biz expanding, porn getting sidelined.

Some, extreme sleaze clubs, are actually at porn shops. I think it is because of these adult entertainment zoning laws. So just build it at the porn store. Porn is old, strip clubs new, and especially the kind without alcohol, or membership clubs.

Most articles that I read about strip-clubs are way off but this-one seems to be pretty-accurate

I don't know if I agree with this article. I think it depends on where you physically are, location-wise. Different demographics move in to an area and could affect things. But, I do think millennials could ruin SC's future. Personally, in my area, on the east coast, where I am, the SC's around me are dying a slow death and I blame millennials. I may start a new discussion on it, but I believe these women born in the 90s that maybe stripping today, some of them aren't as gifted at lap dancing as past generations. Give me a woman born in the late 60s, early 70s, late 70s, or even very early 80s and to me those women naturally know how to give a good lapdance. I don't know why. 10 years ago was my heyday going to strip club because the 90s babies weren't stripping yet and it felt like every woman in the club could give a decent lap dance without the seemingly lame complaints I'm now hearing from millennials. And these millennial dudes born in the 90s, it feels like they don't know a good lap dance either since there aren't as many 60s and 70s women around, so they go along with whatever they're given.

For example, I knew a young dancer over 10 years ago, gotta be born in the late 70s early 80s, she could remove my pants with just her butt, no hands. Granted, I was wearing sweatpants, commando, but still. I'd be sitting down, she'd be sitting on top of me on my laps and with a few shakes of her butt, she'd remove my pants--without her hands. And she was slim! I miss girls like that. Seemed like back then, each girl had a different talent when it came to lap dances.

And maybe it's the area someone's resides in. Back over 10 years ago, around here, girls would have a 3-song set where they'd pick their own 3 songs to dance to, alone on stage. These dancers would put their entire personality and creativity into their 3-song set. This wasn't a show for the patrons or anybody, it was a show for themselves or for the other dancers, it seems. It was always an actual performance during their 3-song set down to an elaborate outfits. Now that dancers around here don't do that anymore, especially these born-in-the 90s dancers, I actually miss that 3-song set show. And during that 3-song set, girls would pick some interesting songs that just wouldn't happen today with these born-in-the-90s chicks because everything today is trap music. I learned so much music back then and what each girl could do with a song by herself was really interesting. Again, they weren't trying to impress me or other patrons. I'd see other dancers out of their dressing rooms all lined up, arms crossed, watching, learning and nodding. Dancers would be mesmerized and then adding bits they saw to their show. I took it for granted back then, now that it's not around anymore.

I'm talking in the early 2000s, I saw one of the best candle-wax shows I'd see. Like 2-3 strippers, pouring hot candle wax on their clits on the anuses without flinching. Playing with hot candle wax like it was cum, licking it off each other's backs, anuses, licking it off the candle, tongue kissing. Of course these women were born in the 70s. This during a 3-song set. You can't play trap music to that.

And I'm saying: I appreciate the creativity and the show, if someone is serious. I don't NEED that, but I appreciate it, if someone is that talented. There was no stage at this particular candle wax show. These women did this right on the carpet in front of you, we just pulled chairs around in a circle. It was actually a regular office during the day turned private strip club at night.

These millennials, to me know nothing about that. But those women back then performed like it was nothing. That candle wax show was done with such calmness and ease. And you'd see the trail of black ash on their spine and think 'Doesn't that burn..that's live candle wax from a bigass candle.' But these chicks kept it moving.

I think more real shows would get people coming out. Of course a strip club is a strip club is a strip club and I actually prefer the no-frills, no table-cloth, no rug, actually no pole, hole-in-the wall strip club. But I appreciate women showing off any talent they have that's unique. Those days, around here, for me, are long gone...
