Hi, I'm going to Vegas next week for the first time in several years. I've been to Speariment Rhino, Little Darlings, and I think Sapphire's... I forget... it was the really big one.. I've had some good and not so good times along the way. Some of them can get too crowded to move and I really don't like that.
anyway - just wondering if any one who has been there more recently has any good advice or tips for navigating Sin City?

Here's a great tip- avoid the stripclubs in Vegas completely. They suck. Find a casino girl or call an escort.

I like Vegas. I've been there probably 6-7 times since February. I like Palomino the best because it's fully nude. They do have alcohol, unlike Little Darlings. I just did a review on Little Darlings where I pretty mentioned that it was an ok, but not great trip, but I'd be willing to go back on a weekend night instead of weekday. Remember, nothing really gets bumping in Vegas clubs until about midnight. I usually head in on a whim, so who knows, maybe I'll be there too.
Save your money and go somewhere else.

My best experience (bang for your buck) was going early evening (around 5-6pm) on a weekday to Rhino. Admission was half what it usually is $22, and my group bought a bottle of vodka for around $80. So 3 of us got cover and drinks for just around $150 after tips, not a bad deal at all by Vegas standards. Tons of girls, afternoon girls were finishing up their shift and the evening ones were coming in.
Usually there's a "dead lapse" at most clubs during this time but not here in Vegas.
^Afternoon/early evening is good advice. Call the club and see if they'll give you a ride, for the price of a tip to a driver you get in without fee and no cab fare. In my experience Rhino will generally pick up solo guys, other places are iffy.
It's a little out of the way but try Palomino.
At most places VIP isn't worth it.
If you have to, jester gives good advice. Try palomino or if you do sapphire(not sure about a spearmint rhino but I assume it's the same) definitely avoid the vip. You'll probably get more satisfaction flushing $200(minimum) down the toilet.
Oh yes - fuck the VIPs. Once in a blue moon a PL gets lucky but odds are stacked against you (pun intended).
Just have fun on the floor, some girls will try to get you to VIP but most don't even bother.
That's what shocked me about coming in early, these girls just wanted a drink and to cht, we're happy to spend some time with us as long as we bought at least 2 dances - totally different vibe than going in at midnight.
I thought about checking out the clubs out there but Vegas always has seemed to expensive for a working class stiff like me. I would save my money and stay with the clubs close to home where I can get the best bang for my buck. But, if you are a high roller go for it and spend away. I am almost sure Vegas has the top talent in the US. I have just pointed out the obvious of course.
There are extras to be had. I don't, but they are there, and quite frankly I could probably give names of the usual solicitors at my favorite club. Plenty that inquire about going back to your hotel with you as well.
I've already opined, and I'm probably not the best to ask since Vegas is all I know, but I always have a great time. It's true that mileage is low on the $20 floor dances, but I had one of my usuals finally admit what I suspected all along. They had an entire meeting based on telling the girls not to allow any touching other than on the hips so that guys are actually encouraged to go VIP. Still though, I think the $100 for 3 songs VIP is a good value; you get a private little room and touching is much greater. I never get out of that damn city without spending a couple grand, occasionally more. Outlandish, I know, by the standards of some, but it works for me, I'm conscientious of what I spend and get what I want out of it, which might be different than what others look for.
Compared to most TUSCLers I know nothing about the SC scene in the U.S. I've only been to Vegas five times and FL ten times so my opinion doesn't count for much. However I find Vegas clubs to be good value as far as dance prices are concerned and there's a high proportion of top quality girls at the more upmarket clubs. Ok, so mileage isn't high but I have always had great OTC experiences with girls from Rhino, OG etc. If you are willing to pay around $300-500 you can get a great stripper OTC if you are smart about the way you do it.
Alternatively a cheaper option is picking up a casino girl, after about midnight they come out in bigger numbers. If you can wait til 4am onwards you can get a better deal if you come across some that have had a slow night. I've had some real stunning casino girls come back to my room that are as equal to most girls I have seen in Rhino.

Wow - as a custy one is often oblivious as to why SCs are the way they are and if the M.O. of certain clubs are just "organic" or created on purpose.
I guess 3-for-$100 is "not bad" - but this means one has to pay $100 per dancer every-time they get w/ any dancer instead of having the option to do just one-dance - so if the dancer turns out to be a dud, or just a bitch; there goes your $100.
I guess if one has $$$ to burn; then no biggie - but for those on a budget it doesn't feel like good value.
Papi_Chulo, yes, great points. For that reason my usual, and very predictable approach, is to always start with a $20 dance. In my opinion from there you can get an idea on what she will allow in the next room, or sometimes they will just tell you what to expect in VIP. I've typically found they are truthful in what to expect. I'd say I end up doing 3 for $100 with about one out of five dancers I do the $20 dance with.

vegas is a terrible strip club locale imo. Rather go zip lining in red rock canyon.
Thanks for all the advice everyone! Yeah I know nothing in Vegas is a deal or "good value" for this. Sounds like nothings changed really. I don't like to gamble so it becomes almost - well what else would I do in the evenings while there by myself? you know? Certainly nothing beats the value of Follies in Atlanta - I do love that place when it's not too packed or too late at night. Vegas has so much selection in the eye candy department it would be difficult to ignore it all week :)
The one bonus here is having some time before and after to visit philly. Haven't been there in a while either but more low key then Vegas at least. :)
Personally, I would go. Last time (the only time) I was in Vegas on business, I didn't have time to go to any clubs. I wish I did. I do think it's possible to feel a dancer out to see if she over promises or under-delivers -- before committing to 3/$100 deal.
As for the rest of Las Vegas, yes it was sort of expensive compared with what you get. I felt the same about Miami too. Except, I like everyone talk me out of the strip clubs there, too.
So despite the poor $$ value of strip clubs in tourist towns, I would go. Now understand this comes from the POV of a monger who doesn't get out of him home area much. So take that into consideration. If you get out more than me, I could see if not being worth it for you.
Next time I'm in Las Vegas, I plan to take the wife. She plans to hit up the casinos while I hit up the clubs.
