I believe every club goer should practice some kind of bank roll management to insure he stays in the game without ever going bankrupt.
My guide lines suggest never spend more than 10% of your roll in any given night. If you start to exceed this percentage it's time to call it a night if not you will go broke and that's the worst thing that can happen to a club hound.
I usually bring in 240 dollars and try not to exceed 200. The extra 40 is just so if I do go a little bit over 200 I won't have to go to the ATM or bar to get cash.
I always bring $100 more than I plan to spend so I don't have to take a walk of shame to the ATM machine. Maybe what Dur_flush is hinting at is, if you bank account is pretty low on funds, perhaps clubbing that night isn't the wisest financial move right now. Like if when I go to withdrawal funds to club that night, if doing so would drop my balance below some threshold (maybe $5K or just $1K) I mentally tell myself, this transaction probably isn't the wisest move right now.
With the $240 example, I would try to keep $2400 minimum balance in the bank, then that fits within Dur_flush's 10% rule. That's not bad financial advice. But how UKfan does his finances is entirely up to him and now of my business, of course. This was just an example.
So what happens if I bring in $200 I initially meant for spending for a good time. Does that mean I now should spend $20 since that is 10%? Can't do much more than walk through the door and out again with that.
What if you brought in a few hundred but after 3 hours, you only spent $30 on dances? Never worry about going bankrupt again unless you think about moving to Atlanta? I got screwed over better visiting the doctor while sick. 100 for the visit, then 75 for medicine, then my stupid insurance company said they paid some of that 100 but the doctor didn't refund a dime. I hope I'm wrong about getting Over charged.
I'm with Chess. Those nights where I walk in with $700 and walk out with $6.50 are usually the nights that have good stories that go with them. Now I'm not doing this every week like JS69 but sometimes you gotta splurge!
^^^ Absolutely. If my life savings was only $1,000 I don't think I would be entering a club.
When I go, I take an amount I feel comfortable not coming home with. I do the same thing when I enter a casino. I don't really sit down and figure out if it's a percentage of this or that. If I would spend 10% of my roll in one night, I'd probably be committing suicide the next day.
How does one grow this bankroll? If we exceed 10% do we go to the dirtiest strip club around? Just messing with you since the only time I've heard or read about bankroll management is with poker.
Well I don't have a bankroll strictly for SCing. Maybe someday if my blackjack endeavors take off since it has funded SC visits and taken away from my "life" roll too. Anyway, I usually walk in with $150 - $250 and although I try to not spend it all, if I do I don't have cards on me so I can't get more cash. A beginner me would spend $300+ when I visited. I'm glad those days are behind me.
I don't use the ATM or my credit card. All the cash in my pocket is fair game whether it is $50 or $800. At the end of the night I figure out what I spent.
Like Dominic, I usually bring $100 more than I plan to spend, just in case. That said, I also bring all my credit cards and ATM card, my cheap bone turns out to be the only thing in my body stronger than my boner bone, so I have no problem with over-indulging -- but I AM able to take advantage of the occasional surprise opportunity (e.g., I had a fave who I've described here before, who if she decided she was going to work again the following day, would hang out with me after her dayshift and then we'd crash in a hotel room, often at no or minimal charge to me).
I bring what I can afford at that time. Whether it's 150, 300 or 600. If I use all of it, that means I had a blast. If not we'll I still have cash for another visit another time or for other things.

Estafador sounds like you need to stop clubbing until you can save up at least$2,000 for a $200 visit

I mean if I'm of any ethnic background and still hang out at the club and have known to date strippers, so these rules still apply?
