Southern Maryland's only strip club is closed. The landlord serve a warrant of restitution and took possession. The club sucked, but it was a mile from my house. The Spice is now added to the infamous list of former Charles County clubs- Rascals, Coo coos nest, Reb's Fire's Place and Choos Choos. It's hard to believe Calvert, Charles and St.Mary's Counties don't have any strip clubs, especially considering the good economic conditions in this area, which includes having the Federal Govt. and several military bases close by.

Was it the home of the Spice Girls?
I traveled to St. Mary's County on business back in the day and always marveled at the same thing as bmann77, especially with the Navy base and the Seafarer's Union school. My thinking on this is that the locals are culturally similar in their thinking to folks on the other side of the Potomac- it is practically the same mindset as Northern Virginia. I think the community fathers do their damndest to keep Adult Oriented Businesses out of the area, and sad to say the clubs that are open for a year or two tend to be more like North Virginia Pasty clubs then the Baltimore Block.
