OT: Gravity waves! Gravity waves! Gravity waves!

Brilliant discovery!

nytimes.com

Who would have thought that we would ever detect changes much smaller than an atom in something 2.5 miles long! And use that to detect colliding black holes!

The practical applications of this discovery are astounding!

Yeah. Theoretically you could weaponize it. Brilliant!

Weaponize it. Let's celebrate confirmation of Einstein's theory. Lap dances with the So Flo gang tonight !!

I thought this was accepted theory many years ago. I guess they didn't have any publicly accepted proof. Hooray for proof. It wouldn't surprise me if we had top secret spacecraft already using gravity waves to bend space ahead of ships. I read something about that years ago. The site I was reading this information said it was being publicly disclosed to alleviate fears of widespread panic among the public by gradually introducing the idea that there are aliens, spaceships, etc, among us already. After several years, I would say only a few old people would be too surprised anymore.

All I want to know is whether I need to reset my watch. Does this give my CF another excuse if she's late arriving for an OTC adventure. Can the manager of her club fine or suspend her for being late now that we know she easily could have been stuck in a time/space warp?

Because the LIGO experiment was not yielding results for so long, I thought it never wuld. But they improved the technology. There was a plan to launch 3 satellites and do this in space; I suppose they can scrap that mission now.

Gravity is the weakest force of the 4. Making a weapon or propulsion system with gravity is the stupidest thing to do. You want to use high energy processes that involve the nuclear forces.

I heard a report about a new nuclear process that could change energy generation around the world. Either that or some evil group will weaponize it. The energy produced is staggering. I'm no physicist, but I'm interested in more info about it.

Tesla was on to something concerning frequencies. Claimed he could split the world in half if he had enough money. Funny how the government swiped his whole laboratory after his death.

Brilliant idea! Maybe the Miami folks should tell strippers they're getting lap dances to celebrate the discovery of gravity waves! Einstein was a major horndog, so he'd approve!
