I'm in the process of reading, "What do Women Want?: Adventures in the Science of Female Desire" by Daniel Bergner, which explores curent knowledge, research, and history comparing men's libido and women's desire for sex. Interestingly, women who are studying the physiology and psychology of female sex are finding that there may actually be a significantly stronger desire on the part of women for more varied types, frequency, and different partners than men. This isn't another, "There are no frigid women; only clumsy men" book. In fact the author states that current research could lead us to the end of monogamy as we know it. Society has repressed women's desire and many of today's young women are putting an end to that.
I've discussed this with two strippers who I know very well and both could easily be called promiscuous, but their take is that they'll fuck whoever they want if there's something in it for them - pleasure, money, status, whatever. They both have a strong appetite for sex, admit it, feel no shame at being "sluts" and are satisfied with themselves. They both achieve orgasm easily (in my estimation) and expect it.
A thread earlier today asked if the availability of extras had increased in the past 15 or 20 years and all kinds of explanations were theorized from the impact of porn to the poor economy. While these may be factors, yet another might be that women are finally able to act on their desires.

I see some occurrences out in the world to back up what the book is saying especially with younger woman (under 25 - and not strippers).
The one thing I see different is the soccermom set (age 30-45) which latches onto a successful man and holds on with a deathgrip because they (the soccermoms) are getting the lifestyle they desire and get to sit at home all day and drink wine, while the kids are at school and the hubby is working 60 hour work weeks.
Yes, some do cheat because they're bored (but not bored enough to get a job), sexually unsatisfied or void of excitement and need someone (or someone's cock) to fill in what's missing. I think most women in that situation just stick to their vibrators and reality shows as they don't want to get caught and screw up their free ride. A select few don't care because they are confident that if they get caught, they'll find a replacement man.

Mr. Rech, Exploitation means using people. Using people is abusing them. People have children, I am sorry to say, all to often because they are intending to do this. What people are taught to call a 'dysfunctional family', is actually child abuse. In saying that it is merely dysfunctional, people are making themselves accomplices in crime, as defined by US law.
