Your the "John Next Door"

Estafador
BIG APPLE
http://www.livescience.com/28169-men-who…

Talks about the types of people that mostly pay for sex. I feel like many of you can be related to this.

Favorite line: ..."john next door" has been perpetuated in pop culture, and even in some recent studies.

What do you guys think?

There used to be "Dear John" letters about breaking up. Now there are "Dear John" texts asking for money

One thing they got wrong, if they were referring to the guys on here (myself included), they said the current average salary for guys using hookers is $120,000+ and everyone here makes at least $300,000.

Also it said guys don't use street walkers obviously they forgot to survey ldk82!!!

Nobody but us seems to realize that there is a third alternative to finding prostitutes in addition to on the street and on the Internet. Of course, nobody but us seems to realize (or be willing to admit) that all men pay for sex either.

I think that someone like me would give those little researchers a fucking heart attack.

@lopaw: You don't exist to many of them. As a lesbian, you can't possibly be a monger, so you're either lying, or a guy pretending to be female. Not other possibility is conceivable to them.

seriously though this is a good debate...

I do this a fair amount, I have one friend that has a good income that does it as well, actually more often than me (he is married). I also have one friend that does not have a good income that does it when he can afford it (he is not married). Mind you I am blurring OTC, ITC, Escorting, AMPs, all in the same category.

Other than us 3, the rest of my friends fall in to one of these 3 categories:

    1. Too scared to do it because their wives would cut off their nuts.

    2. Can't afford it, and try to act like they aren't interested as their excuse (most of these guys are divorced/not married).

    3. Too much of a straight arrow to ever do it (which really they'd want to, but refer to #1 or #2 which is the real reason).

    There's another category.

    4. Doing exactly the same thing that you are but keeping it secret from everyone so the wife doesn't find out and cut off his balls.

@JohnSmith well that's a seperate problem all on its own but if we were to include strip clubs and AMPs with street prostitution (the better term would be offline prostitution ) then you'd definitely be considered a statistic. Problem is affluent gentlemen who fuck hoes in the club and parlors is murky since between management and patron lawyers, it can be either whoring or general consent between two adults. Especially when its as easy as saying "the money was for dances"

Very interesting article - I always wanted to be in "the 1%" but had another demographic in mind.
I never paid for sex when I could get it free. In my late 50's there was no viable route to fuck young, beautiful women so I started paying for the privilege.

@sclvr5005- yes it certainly does. When I do P4P in a hotel or AMP no one would ever expect what I was really there for, so there is no paranoia or last minute panic/bail out on my part. I go in, do my thing, and then I'm gone. Same with SC's, to a point. Quite nice, actually.

They need to do a study in Germany to see how things are different when prostitution is legal and less stigmatized.

"The researchers also found that the average john doesn't look all that different from the average man who has never paid for sex"

How can they say this? All men who pay for sex look like this:

Everyone here makes over $300,000? WOW! I never knew I was such a successful pizza guy. Course, my bank and my creditors never knew that either (thank God).

It really sounds like the writer of that article just read a couple of other articles and studies, then regurgitated the material with her own little spin on it. A study using men recruited from newspaper ads and Craigslist has a built-in bias -- the demographic that uses those sources, but apparently that doesn't matter. And "john schools"? Seriously?

Every guy pays for sex in some shape or form. Everyone.

If you take a girl on a date to dinner or out somewhere and buy anything for her, you are paying "something" for the sex. Might not be much for some, but don't kid yourself. You are in some shape or form paying for something to get the girl in the mood to have sex with you.

Haven't some of you ever seen the movie Risky Business? It's very true.

Some of us pay practically nothing (maybe it's a few drinks at a club for the girl) to those of us who pay for sex at a SC or some other form of prostitution and pay more.

And don't even get me started on those of us who are or "were" married, and how much they had to pay for sex (or lack there of) with their wife or former wife. Those of us who are married and/or divorced have paid the most for sex probably over our lifetimes, but not necessarily having as much sex as those of us in the strip club or other forms of adult entertainment world.

I don't think young men go to hookers like they had to in kinsey s time. In the 50s women rarely fucked before marriage. By the 90s when I was in college, only 50% of girls showed up in college as virgins, and very few stayed that way.

Also our wars in the past 30 years have been in the middle east, not Europe or Asia. The legend is doughboys rediscovered BJs from French prostitutes and cane back asking for them.

Sex is just much easier to get outside of marriage. When most women are giving it away free, the rate of sex worker use falls. So the main motivation is fucking a hard bodied 21 year old vs an "average American woman", or not dealing with the hassle of "dating,
