Question about Detroit

Went to the strip clubs in Detroit last summer for the first time and had my mind blown! I was thinking of making a pilgrimage mid july, BUT now I'm hearing it might be getting shut down. Anyone have any scoop on what the situation is? Will i still find what I'm looking for (hot girls with wide open menus for $200 to $300 untimed, the two clubs i liked were penthouse and the flight club open to suggestion on others)? Just don't want to head out there an have it be something i could have found without leaving my area.

I keep hearing that Detroit is cracking down on VIP action, but I haven't seen it yet. To be safe, you should visit clubs in the suburbs like the Flight Club or Landing Strip or BT's.

^^^ What he said.

BTs Dearborn (there are now 2 BTs, one on 8mile), Flight Club, Criket, Landing Strip, Panthenon, etc. are some of the better clubs that are not in Detroit "proper" which (at least from my experience) have not come up in conversations regarding regulated VIPs. It is still worth the trip, and if you've read the reviews, in most of the clubs on 8mile it's still going on anyway.

As others have said; many of the Detroit *area* clubs are not in the city of Detroit itself but in surrounding areas – and still in most Detroit *city* clubs it seems still business as usual.

If you're doing it right, you'll get more than your mind blown :)

I was in Detroit two weeks ago and easily got BBBJs at Henry VIII (in Inkster) and Henry VIII South (in Southgate). I can't speak for the clubs in Detroit itself, but it's business as usual in the suburbs: Dearborn, Inkster, Southgate, etc.

Coliseum used to be my go to club.

The last time I was in there (afternoon/early evening) the quality of the girls had taken a pretty severe downturn. There were a couple good ones but not like it had been in years past.

I too have heard of the comments of change coming to the clubs in Detroit, but have not experienced it yet either. Still business as usual.
Some raids have happened by Detroit PD, but as far as I know, all it has produced are a few tickets for girls without dance cards and some smoking citations.
If the owners pay whoever it is they need to pay to keep the police away, then I doubt things will change.
This type of thing happens every once in a while and then seems to disappear for a while.

Dancers and managers have told me the LE pressure is increasing on Eight Mile Road in Detroit. Last conversations I had on these topics took place on June 19 and June 20, 2015, at night at The Coliseum and BT's Executive Club in Detroit. I am hearing that LE is raiding and issuing tickets with warnings that they will return unless LDs stop, the VIP is closed and the no contact ordinance is enforced. My uninformed hunch is that LE is giving the clubs time to make changes before they start arresting, padlocking and closing them up. Contrarily, some managers have said that this is just a seasonal thing and, after a couple of raids, things will settle down to ignoring the ordinance. I said on TUSCL that we might have a problem with SCs in Detroit when we elected the former Wayne County Prosecutor as our Mayor in 2013. He denies he has gubernatorial ambitions, but cleaning up Eight Mile Road looks good to the rural Detroit haters that hold the balance of power in statewide elections.

Another angle might be the pressure from community groups (voters) still angry about the parking problems, public unirnation and sex in parked cars on residential streets that seem to flourish around SCs in warm weather. With summer here, LE is making it clear that they are watching SCs and hurt they clubs where it counts as long as customers are acting like jerks outside.

Michigan is considering legislation to change "last call" from 2am to 4am. Will it be state wide or left to local options? Detroit could have SCs open 'till 4am for you guys who just can't get enough. My uninformed hunch (again) is that the big money boys want to get the bars open 'till 4am, close the Eight Mile SCs and allow almost around the clock SCs in the three gambling casinos downtown. They really want to make Detroit the Las Vegas of the midwest. Moving SCs into the casinos after closing them on Eight Mile Road is seen, by some, as a step in that direction.

Moving strip clubs INTO the casinos????

Never heard of such a thing.

They don't even do that in Vegas. I'm not sure how they would get something like that done in Detroit.
But it's an interesting idea.... (I just don't see it ever happening).

I'm not a gambler but would not mind SCs being inside casinos if that meant the SCs would be left alone – i.e. have sorta a red-light/adult district rather than having SCs near residential neighborhoods.
