Industrious? Or Pathetic?

Gotta head to Denver in a few months from the East Coast. Denver doesn't look promising from the tuscl perspective. Thinking of making a layover out of the way in Detroit. Never have been. Is that pathetic? Would just be for a night. So many here rave about Detroit.

I say it's a brilliant idea! Go for it! :) I've been wanting to take a Detroit trip! Of course, I'm not sure there is anything except strip clubbing to do in Detroit! Perhaps some Detroiters can enlighten us! ;)

If you want to stick close by Metro airport, give Flight Club a try (if money is no object. It's expensive at Flight club). I've always liked Landing Strip. Others on here haven't liked it, but it's close to the airport also. If you like dive strip clubs (and I do mean DIVE... You can try Bogarts or Henry VIII. Your money will go a long way at Bogarts or Henry's. But the girls will be very sub par most days. Out of the 4 choices by the airport, Flight Club has the best girls. All 4 clubs are within 15 minutes from the airport. If you want to venture from the airport and hit 8 mile road, I'd Definately try Penthouse. Again, this one is a bit expensive, on par with Flight Club. Penthouse is a good 30-40 minutes from the airport, depending on traffic.

Penthouse and Flight Club are owned by the same guy and along with Coliseum vie for the best looking girls. If you do go to Detroit you must go to either Henry * or Bogart's just to say you have been there. Worth the small cover to look around. Keep in mind beer is cheaper than water at Bogart's

I constantly arrange my travel in a way that avoids bad strip club cities. Not sure how pathetic that is, but it's a lot better than being stuck in a hotel room all evening.

Look under my profile and I wrote an article about visiting detroit. If I were you and had limited time I would stay at the westin attached to the airport, take a cab to flight club and if you don't have any luck there can it down the road to BTs Dearborn. Between those 2 you should find what you're looking for. If you want to explore you could always go downtown and hit a casino and check out the new club "legends." At flight club full service prices range greatly - from 200 to 400 (or higher) and at BTs you should never have to pay more than 200, and can get as low as 100. There is a mandatory $20 charge each time you enter the VIP at BTs. Can ride from westin airport to flight club runs around $20 range each way.

You've gotten a lot of good advice. My choice for a single night visit would be the Flight Club, which is close to the airport and has very friendly dancers.

I'm guessing money is (almost) no object. Unless your company is paying for the extra night in a Detroit hotel and extra airfare cost. I don't think you can go wrong with the Flight Club. Closest to the airport and the best or at least in the top 3 best clubs in the Detroit area.

Just let Motörhead know you're coming, he will meet you there and will show you his collection of autographs from all the members of "Styx."

Great feedback. From the reviews, I was thinking FC and/or Penthouse. I'm interested in mileage/extras and in talent that is easy on the eyes (rough on the eyes I can find closer to home! And money is not really an issue) Figure with FC I can stay near the airport and cab it. Penthouse seems like you need a car. Are the dancers at FC comparable to those at Penthouse?

YOLO – go for it – I have taken a few SC trips and have not regretted it. Only been to Detroit once so not an expert by any means; but per my limited experience it seems there is a marked difference in talent b/w the upscale clubs and the dives. IMO the best reason in general to visit a dive is for mileage/extras – but one can have mileage/extras in the upscale D clubs so I don't see the advantage of the dives unless that is one's preference or are looking to save $$$. For one night and never been; I would hit the best rated upscale clubs (e.g. FC/PH) – and yeah; these clubs are a bit pricey but not necessarily expensive IMO – i.e. one gets good value for the money. Have a good time and report back.
