A multimillionaire and he still wanted to live the life of a hood thug – I wonder if he was just a bad guy; stupid; or his horrible upbringing messed up his wiring.
@Papi: I don't think it was his upbringing. He just made a stupid decision and decided to risk a potential rewarding NFL career in favor of taking the life of another human being. He is old enough to know right from wrong regardless of where he come from or how he was brought up.
He still has 2 outstanding murder charges pending. It'll be interesting to see if they bother prosecuting. It's alleged that this murder was to stop the guy shooting his mouth off about the other two murders. The picture that's been painted by the press show him to be deeply involved in "the thug life". As a kid I played in the woods where his house is and know the area well. Several Patriots live in that development and are model citizens. Several years ago Adam Veneteri & Ted Bruschi stopped at the local HS football team's practice and bought pizza for the kids and sat with them for an hour, talking football. Funny how different they can be.
He will be prosecuted in Boston for the original murder witnessed by Odin Llyod that led to the murder for which he was convicted. Simple fact is that once a dirtbag scum, alweys a dirtbag scum, and money changes nothing.

He seemed to say "you're wrong" to the jury. He wouldn't be the first person wrongly convicted - but it seems he still feels he's above the law.

With his money, he could have hired the mob to do it.
