I played high school football and I've watched decades of college/NFL Games on TV. Why, this year, does a football game on ESPN have a 22 minute halftime, five minutes between quarters, and 3.5 minutes on change of possession, plus-follow this sequence-team gets touchdown + P.A.T. three minutes of commercials. Kickoff, then, three more minutes of commercials before the snap. Why ?
This is the reason I DVR football games. I can't stand watching all the commercials, and just fast forward through them. I usually start watching a game about 30 to 45 minutes after it actually starts, and I'm live by the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter. The only thing bad about it is I can't answer my phone or read my text messages out of fear someone will give away something that happened.
It's called watching games that are televised live, moron. It's been going on for years. When I was going to PSU, live televised games *always* went on for much, much longer than non-televised games.
