DJ Robots in the clubs?

Too much of a good thing is never enough
Nope, not a another name for a juke box but a prerecorded DJ introduction for each dancer and song set for that dancer.

I recently encountered this at a Deja Vu that had implemented some type of computerized DJ introduction and music system. After a dancer was introduced by the prerecorded DJ and performed her stage set (to carefully timed song clips), there would be a bridge song during which the DJ robot would ask the next dancer to report to the DJ booth where she would "log in" to the computer and then she'd be introduced by the DJ computer system for her stage set. All of this occurred without a "live" DJ. This was all pre programmed and there was no live DJ in the club.

I had mixed reactions. I've heard some good DJs and some truly awful DJs (inane commentary, overly loud music, mumbling the dancers name so that no one, even the dancer, could understand). The prerecorded robot DJ solved some of these problems but it felt "corporate" and overly controlled (but what else would you expect from the Deja Vu chain?).

Is this a new thing? Anyone else have any experience and reaction to DJ "robots?"

This automated system sounds pretty good, but it could not do everything a DJ does--like have sex with the dancers.

I thought the DJs were the ones that sold drugs to the dancers?

The only time I ever notice a DJ is when it's an annoying one that won't shit up, but I have to say I'm not too find of any machine taking the place of a human in a service related job scene

I wonder if the dancers still have to tip out the robot DJ?

I’ll take the robot over the loud/obnoxious DJ.

    What’s next though – robot dancers :)

I don’t like it either – maybe Founder changed it b/c it may look better on smartphones (I don’t have a smartphone so I can’t tell if it’s better on it)

The font size is stupid, and how do you start a discussion?

New GUI. Showed up first on Articles.

On my 7" tablet Chrome landscape looks terrible!

Font too big; words over-run each other in member id box. Each discussion takes up too much room onscreen. Some punctuation gets scrambled.

There is "start a discussion" button on the new heading. I expect there are a few bugs to be worked out and I'm guessing the scrambled punctuation is a function of the transition. Change is hard. Be patient.

The automated gentlemen club dj software program you're talking about is the first and only one of it's kind called "CoverJock". It's installed in clubs all around the world, plus it does so much more than introduce dancers on and off stage.

To read more check out www.coverjock.com - or for the fully functional management system www.boothpoint.com
