Amateur Nights

Hey all,

Long time reader, only occasional poster. Wanted to see if you guys happen to know of any good amateur nights in both Detroit and New York. I do a lot of work in both of those places and have a friend who is interested in trying one out. Do you guys know of clubs which have amateur nights? And which nights of the week do they happen to occur?

Very, particular question that only a small fraction of us might know. And I'm part of that small fraction that doesn't know.

Why would you be looking for an amateur night? The idea sounds appealing, but they are almost never amateurs. It's mostly just dancers from other clubs, often not particularly attractive, trying to pick up some easy money.

Palomino used to have them if you're ever in Vegas. Great club, too!

Haven't seen real amateurs at an "Amateur Night" for many years. About 40 years ago when I was in grad school in the Chicago area some of us used to drive up to Kenosha, WI where a club had real amateurs. One could tell by their actions and reactions that these girls were, indeed, first-timers. Wow! It was hot.
