A bomb scare cleared out a Washington park adult nightclub late Tuesday night. Police received a report at 10:16 p.m. that there was an explosive devise in Miss Kitty's nightclub on Illinois 111 near it's Interstate 64 ramp. Washington Park police as well as firefighters from Washington Park, State Park and Camp Jackson cleared out the nightclub to search for the bomb. Patrons had to stand in the parking lot at Larry Flynt's Hustler Club across the highway while the search was completed. Metro bus service in the area was also disrupted by the threat. Police have not said what was found in Miss Kitty's, or if anything was found. But no one was injured.

I was in Larry Flynt's Hustler Club across the street last night, and the manager had to evacuate the place and sent everyone home. However, as we approached the parking lot exit, the police said everything was clear, and it's safe to go back to the club if we want. They still shut down Miss Kitty's, though. It's pretty scary, and an unusual experience.
