I was watching the local news this morning, and they did a remote broadcast from a Red Cross blood bank. People often forget to give blood during the holidays so January often is a time of critical blood shortages.
During the segment, the Red Cross worker demonstrated a new device they have. It's a vein finder. They can shine a bright LED light on the skin and illuminate the veins. Pretty cool. I have hard to find veins and the lab techs often have some difficulty with my blood draws. I've never heard of these and if they work, it's a great new invention.

motor,
I've found most any tool I am using is excellent at finding veins with just one little slip. :)

It's still a learned skill.
