Here's blood in your eye.

A Madison, WI woman who was refused entry at an East Side strip club was arrested early Thursday after allegedly fighting with police and spitting blood into an officer's eye.

Brittaney Boyd, 25, was tentatively charged with discharging bodily fluids at a public safety worker, bodily harm by use of pepper spray, battery and resisting, according to a Madison police news release.

The incident happened at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday at Visions Nightclub, 3554 E. Washington Ave.

An arriving officer could smell pepper spray in the club, while Boyd was being held by patrons of the club.

"She allegedly used pepper spray against club staff after becoming angry that she wasn't allowed entry into the club because it was closing for the night," said police spokesman Officer Howard Payne.

The officer tried calming her down but she continued yelling and swearing at the officer, the release said.

"She tried to kick the officer just before she successfully spit blood into the officer's eye," Payne said.

After the officer took her to the Dane County Jail, the officer got medical attention because of the exposure to blood
