Does anyone sleep in separate beds? Some advocates claim it leads to a better sex life.

It can if you're banging a hottie in your bed while your SO is sleeping out of ear shot down the hall.

I have heard some married couples even sleep in different houses.

"Does anyone sleep in separate beds?"

ONLY those stuck in a time warp movie or TV show from the 1950's. LOL

This topic reminds me of the horror of my parents, who presumably still sleep in separate beds, not to mention separate bedrooms. Mom wants it warm and Dad wants it cold. I'd like to know how they decided to ever get married if they couldn't even agree on a temperature.

Golly gee Moheaddude...I see that you are following through on my idea to take TUSCL discussions back to the 50s! You're the cat's meow my friend!

I have seen reports that as many as 40% of middle-aged couples sleep in different beds and it is not good for sex life.

motor,

As one of the TUSCL old farts, I'll tell you my "story". My SO and I have always shared the same bed (not counting when one of us is out of town). We have the same problem as DD's parents. She gets "cold" at 75 degrees, and I am fine at that. Blankets seem to be the cure since we've been together about 45 years.

Is over 60 still middle age or old timer?

Many couples don't realize this is an IMPORTANT consideration. A major incompatibility on temperature is a difficult issue.

Not by choice. I'd say it was a result of a shitty relationship and shitty sex life. The two beds didn't create that, but happened because of it.

I know of one couple that sleep in separate rooms due to the husband's snoring. He says that their sex life is OK and that she kicks him out after they fuck. Works for them.

For God's sake Alucard, are you ever gunna stop with the YOU SHOULD do this, and THOU SHALL NOT do that? Bring back the GRIM visage of Drac as your avatar. You do not sound like a FUN guy for any girl that hangs with you. And you not being married, (no surprise), makes your OPINION pretty WORTHLESS.
