If they cared they would refuse the money. If your friend/someone you cared about tried to offer you money for conversation, you would not accept it and tell them they better see a shrink. Of yeah if you were at work and some who was your friend wanted to talk they would say, "dude, what the fuck? I'm busy now. Call me after work. Would love to hear from you."
